📸 President @JoeBiden was spotted in Los Angeles this week with none other than @jayleno. The two stopped by Handel’s Ice Cream in La Cañada Flintridge while filming another episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. Biden has been on Leno’s show multiple times in the past. Reports say Biden took time with local kids and families, posed for photos, and even signed a few school papers. To Jake Tapper’s disappointment, there was no wheelchair in sight. Nothing says Joe Biden more than classic cars and ice cream. You absolutely love to see it.

@DataRepublican Merit is as merit does. The Mormons, perhaps chief among Christian communities, have crystal-clear and decent standards -- by which they live more consistently than any other such group I can name. I'm not even a Christian -- but I can appreciate this and I do heartily approve.

Utah is facing some real challenges right now. I'm not a member of the LDS, and I don't pretend to be. I see myself more as a sojourner in the Biblical sense... someone not born into the culture, but someone who has come to appreciate it deeply. From the outside, it's hard not to recognize what the LDS community has built. It is American: strong families, faith-centered living that's increasingly rare. My approach to Utah is simple. I try to live by the spirit of Mark 9:38–40. We may come from different backgrounds, but we can still stand together in our shared commitment to Jesus Christ. That also means being mindful of influences and agendas that pull us away from that foundation. And that includes @mormonweg .
