Let me add to clarify: Based on the coverage of this issue, the Bloomberg reporter specifically targeted two ministers of the Singapore government. They filed a suit against the reporter, and hence Bloomberg's entire legal team has jumped in to save their company. Saving the reporter is secondary; saving the global company's brand image is paramount. Now, in the case of India, the challenge is quite different. Bloomberg reports inaccurate, fake, and biased reporting on multiple issues, including against industrialists, but they haven't reported anything defamatory about any Indian politician/Judge etc till now (please feel free to correct me if I am incorrect). Hence, our red line is quite expansive, and we are willing to give the publication house a long rope, as long as they don't cross that red line, all in the name of freedom of the press. So in future, when Bloomberg decides to cross that imaginary line, when the hammer drops, and they eventually have to face the music, time will answer whether they do. @aravind

I have a bad feeling about the Nashik TCS case. There is a high chance that the police will fail to put up a watertight case before the court, and the accused will go free. And all those who are maintaining 'strategic silence' now will come out from hiding and claim that they somehow knew from the start that the case was 'fabricated' at the behest of Hindutva forces. We have seen this script of 'exaggerated victimhood' play out before, and I won't be surprised if we see this again. Our investigative agencies are, in general, pathetic when it comes to securing convictions in the court of law. But I sincerely hope that's not the case this time.
