I did 3 more openclaw setups for solopreneur homies last week (for free):
- context: one jeweler homie, a yacht rental homie, a creative director homie, and a guy who runs a nonprofit.
- Out of the 4 setups main things they want to use claw for: Exec assistant, research reports, email + imessage triage, one-shotting design mockups via multiple agents, project management.
- notably nobody really wanted to code yet, which to me is the best part.
- got it running for yacht homie after working 7-1 AM lol. frustrating. many dumb mistakes (again). feel like entry level helpdesk guy.
- mac minis (sigh) because both guys work only from iphones so wanted imessage assistant. it also makes the gift feel tangible to them and nice to look at. worth $600? yes imo
- I set up cowork for them as a fallback. they are hyped on cowork but i tested it a bit and it feels like ~5% as good as openclaw...walled garden approach not ideal imo
- the moment they realize this branded silver brick can do their boring work is a very gratifying moment for all
- doing these free setups has been worth the time solely for what I learned and good times with friends getting to be of service.
- so far my process is not scalable... as of now scrapping the "as-a-service" idea, likely continue gifting setups for close friends + networking

I'm too young to fight in world war 2, but I'm just the right age to be unemployed while I get my slop-coding subsidized by the CCP, woke LLMs, and right wing LLMs, all while i pit them all against eachother in purple gradient warfare of making no mistakes

I searched “clawde” on telegram and got a bot that someone had set up on their macbook. Got it to list directories, browse the web, etc.
I tried to get it to post an “I was pwned” tweet since the owner was logged in to twitter, but the llm told me no. I’m sure it’s doable with the right prompting.

Clawd disaster incoming
if this trend of hosting ClawdBot on VPS instances keeps up, along with people not reading the docs and opening ports with zero auth...
I'm scared we're gonna have a massive credentials breach soon and it can be huge
This is just a basic scan of instances hosting clawdbot with open gateway ports and a lot of them have 0 auth

@web4O @powerzero I’d buy one and I’d also buy a Bentley just diff reasons. Ya will be interesting to see.
Also depends on context like when I lived bordering some gang territory in St. Louis this one guy I knew had a genesis and ppl thought it was a flex there lol
English

@Notshake @powerzero I get it. I do think it’s interesting that to us it will always be hyundai but i wonder if they can actually create dissonance for younger buyers about the brand origins
English

@web4O @powerzero Gennys v good, they stole a exec or creative from Bentley a few yrs ago I believe and now genesis just forked Bentley and made it 3x cheaper
But less cool still bc it’s Hyundai ngl
English

@powerzero Ya hard to overcome the brand association for me but I think the level up is just buying the right car for the job
