Other than the obvious mistake (generally you want someone close in age to you +/- 3 years), there is a weak understand of options here. I explore: First, Theta is time decay on a contract because there is an expiration date, not on the underlying. Women, (as they are not negotiated contracts) do not resemble options. You would have to make the case the underlying is something like the health of the relationship or something, but imprecise. Second, long the 21 call, short the 25 call is a bull call spread. Max profit requires the underlying to rip through 25 actually, aging past this construct is actually irrelevant. Not the right trade. Third, the short leg offsets the theta on the exact spread he described, so the one risk here that is being talked about doesn't exist. If you wanted to make the analogy fit, probably just better to use a depreciating asset, perhaps a car (mileage?) Anyway, this is why market makers pay billions for retail order flow.
