@feedtheball The character and playability that makes Royal Melbourne such a remarkable golf course to play is completely missed by those at ANGC over the decades. The heavy handedness at Augusta over the years and all the tweaking has sucked much of the soul out of the golf course.

I disagree. I don’t think Augusta National has any desire to be more like Royal Melbourne. There’s no evidence. There’s no evidence their leaders even hold that course in high regard.

I don’t think there’s a better golf course on the planet than Riviera. It doesn’t have the views of Cypress, the iconic moments of Augusta, the history of St Andrews. But for pure golf, from 1-18, you can’t beat it.

Look what’s just arrived!! Growing up as a kid it was all about the @ScottyCameron Teryllium putter… I used it as an Amateur and at the @TheOpen 1998! This week they are celebrating over 25 years of Teryllium, the Scotty Cameron H25 Limited Teryllium Newport 2 is a limited edition launch around the world. I’m so pleased I could purchase one, It brings back so many great memories for me… this will never be used and will sit next to my original putter in my golf room.
