@roegamaniac So I checked out WoW Housing yesterday for the first time and let me tell ya. It's amazing and everything I could ever ask for in Housing. This package they are selling you is purely cosmetic. They took all the best part of housing from every game and put it in WoW.

@king_jeffo Without adding gear that has same stats as savage (because that would cannibalize savage PF) what rewards would you actually want to see? So far Variant has about same or more rewards then Chaotic, but people now expect more then what CAR had.

Yes people would still cry about it sure. But let's not move away from the fact that the content lacks proper rewards that feels worth it. Same thing with Quantum, loved the fight to death but it's sad that some people would never give it a go because there's just no incentive. I want both high end battle content and casual content with proper replayability. Not a one off where I go on and clear, Quantum 40 made me realise how even if the content is amazing it would never reach a wider audience of the savage raiders community solely based on the fact that people do not want to resub for a one off. Whether you're a casual or a HC raider, rewards are key to a content replayability. Because that's what keeps people playing and subbed. It's totally fine if pieces of content do not target a large majority of XIV's community. But let's not kid ourselves and pretend it's ok for a content to not have proper rewards.

@OnlyEdrem @snark_talks I mean you can already upgrade gear from doing the alliance raid, and other things can also give the rewards to help upgrade tome gear. There is no reason why they cant give a weekly locked out reward that also lets you upgrade the same stuff that the alliance raid etc does.

If they can’t throw a catch-up gear selection in there or savage equivalent itemization for clearing criterion I’m not even gonna bother. It takes forever to gear multiple jobs from savage. Criterion is a good way to improve on that but our dev team is allergic to actual itemization. Give tome equivalent gear from variant advanced, give savage equivalent from criterion, boom, the content succeeds. For now, to me at least, this release will be known as A Merchant’s Fail. #FFXIV #ffxivmemes

@snark_talks It's 8 weeks since launch, so the average raider is getting close to clearing the tier or starting on reclears. If Crit gear had worse stats they would ignore it. If it had same stats they would farm unless weekly lock, still hurting savage PF.

@OnlyEdrem We’re a couple months in. Ppl are already in raidlogging mode. Even if they gave a set that had worse substats it’s a reason to play. In 2026 with so many other things to do and games to play releasing stuff like this with no replayability is WILD.
