Kamala Harris — the most intellectually mediocre Democratic presidential candidate in my lifetime — soundly beat Donald Trump in their one and only debate. Even Trump knew he had lost, and wisely refused an offer for a second debate.
Weeks later, everyone had already forgotten about it. I just now remembered it because I saw a reference to it online.

Trump declares almost 50% of Americans to be public enemy number one – right after Iran.
This is no longer politics; this is open civil war from the mouth of a president. Anyone who brands half of their own people – millions of ordinary Americans who simply vote differently – as the "greatest enemy" hasn't understood America; Trump hates it.
This rhetoric isn't "tough," it's treacherous. It destroys precisely what makes America strong: the idea that Americans, despite all their differences, are one nation.
Trump has just proven that he doesn't want to be president of all Americans – but merely the leader of a faction that considers the rest the enemy.

Nick - look at IHSS. If you’re enrolled in medi-cal and deemed disabled enough to need institutional care, you can qualify for in home care. Paid by medi-cal to IHSS providers. You can have your family be your IHSS provider. If you live-in, it’s tax free income. Very Helpful Program BUT rife with fraud.
IHSS social workers are supposed to do on-site visits but are too under staffed: can’t do them. Checks go out anyways.
Our IHSS worker hasn’t been to our home in years. We check in by phone yearly. And I say yearly very loosely.

If you look into California's budget surplus and deficit, it enters a deficit after 2022. What happened?
Medi-Cal budgets have increased exponentially year by year. California went from a $47 billion surplus in 2021 to a $55 billion deficit in 2024.
This is one of the major factors why the fraud is in the billions and why the hospice and home health fraud schemes have run rampant and unchecked for so long. Imagine all the other fraud taking place inside Medi-Cal… Like and share this to show others the mismanagement of our tax dollars!

In 2022 the budget was $108 B and this year it will be $222 B, for what?
Their population and enrollment hasn’t increased exponentially but their spending has more than doubled.

I think Congress should fund the TSA instead of sending ICE agents to airports, but it’s ridiculous to suggest they will kill travelers.
When politicians engage in hyperbole, many people stop listening.

@LauraLoomer I have 3 kids. All 3 have been amazing on planes. On one trip from CA to Chicago, for no apparent reason beyond being a baby - one of mine fussed and fried the entire plane ride.

TSA agents across the country are relying on food pantries and community donations just to get by.
I remain the lone Dem to vote with my Republican colleagues to fully fund DHS and get people paid.

For those that missed it, because the MSM is not reporting it: The Special Election in California last November, where Prop 50 passed and the redistricting is occurring, is under investigation. Apparently several Advocacy groups obtained information online that shows there were approximately 50K more ballots counted than what the SOS reported.
The AG, Rob Bonta, attempted to put an end to the Investigation being run by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. Bonta sued and the judge denied his motion to quash the investigation. The judge further ordered that a Special Master be appointed to count the ballots.
