I still love Nolan McLean but there was a very icky feeling to this start. What good is hellacious shape if you can’t throw for strikes and guys don’t chase? Innings 5 & 6 were what not to do.

Nolan McLean was perfect through 5 before a hit and a pair of walks forced him out the game in the 6th inning The Mets rookie has one of the most refined arsenals in MLB and looks untouchable when his stuff is clicking. This is still a great outing despite the sour ending
