@hiroco_kyuukon -Your fic is definitely unique! Also maybe it's a good thing you haven't started reading mine yet because I'm a a little shy about my earlier works lol. I've been considering on doing a rewrite of the first one that fits into the second. Start reading whenever you feel though!

@hiroco_kyuukon Thank you for answering my questions! The scene ended abruptly so I wasn't quite sure if it was something that actually took place. It looked as if it was some kind of culmination of Noa's anxieties and regrets with how her life had changed in the last few decades, your fic is

@hiroco_kyuukon I finally got around to reading "The path to death of a spring that lasted too long" and it was a bit of a trip! Even though I had to put the fanfiction through a translator, the feeling of melancholy and longing were really strong.

Female fans of AsuNoa seem to be pretty attracted to the idea of a really dominant and assertive Asuma

Aside from that, I did find some enjoy!t in reading, even if it's based on Goto Sushiya. Perhaps I'll read more of your work if I have the time!

Was it a dream sequence that portrayed Noa's worst fear of the Asuma she longed for changing for the worst, becoming unrecognizable to her, and severing all chances at her trying to rekindle what she had lost?

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan To me it always looked like Patlabor was just a suitable "playground" for Oshii, not in a derogatory way, just that he found it easy to do what he wanted do due to how lax Patlabor's setting is. Izubuchi is somewhat similar in that regard but instead of the military it's kaiju

@Protodedester @JenkemSuperfan At least from what I can remember, don't know if it was their concept itself or more that Oshii's issues with the other members flared and he's kind of stuck up/arrogant and wanted to do things on his own (which would actually imply that he had a heavy interest in Patlabor imo).

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan And it would not be unrealistic to ask what about the concept they already had did he not like? Enough to warrant making an entire new thing without the intervention from other members?

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan In that case all that tells me is there are creative differences between him, the team, and what they wanted to do with Patlabor. As evident by him solo producing TNG with Headgear unanimously going “Yeah, thats not it” and starting up the EZY project-

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan May I remind you I'm referring to people who act as if he himself is "The Don" of Patlabor, I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve the acclaim for what he's done. I'm saying it's silly to assume that he was the mastermind behind Patlabor

@Protodedester @JenkemSuperfan " He only " c'mon man you don't think you're understating his level of contribution? It's correct and good to celebrate the other Headgear members. There's no reason that should come at the cost of Oshii though lol

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan His whole spiel about his opinions on robots, being somewhat detached from the cast, initially didn't see himself involved any future projects, stuff like that essentially

@Protodedester @JenkemSuperfan I've read this interview before and my takeaway was about Headgear's internal personal issues on the part of Oshii, not some interpretation of his level of investment in the franchise lol

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan Oshii didn't direct Patlabor 3, that was Fumihiko Takayama. He only directed Early Days, the two movies, and wrote a few scripts for TV and The New Files. Ito and the others handled the scripts for TV while Naoyuki Yoshinaga was the director.

@Protodedester @JenkemSuperfan Saying he had a " light interest " in the franchise with Ito looking over his shoulder is close enough to implying that man even if I was a little hyperbolic lol. Oshii was the director for 3 movies, an OVA, and a television series. I don't think people overstate his contribution

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan And it's also not untrue that he just had a lighter interest in Patlabor. Again that's not me saying he hated it, it's just that he was pretty selective about what he liked about it

@erstatiz @JenkemSuperfan That's not separating him from the franchise, you're acting like I'm saying he had no genuine involvement in Patlabor and barely cared about it lmao. I'm saying that sometimes people give him a little too much credit to what you yourself had just said was a collaborative process-
