No longer own @ObeyAlliance. I’ve been the only active owner left for some time and haven’t been as interested in the space for probably close to 2-3 years. I was trying to find someone to takeover the team for over a year but nothing came from it. That’s why I stepped away from my role 3 months ago. At one point I even tried to buyout the other owners, sign some of the original founders of Obey and basically hand them the organization on a silver platter for free. Instead I got ghosted after we locked in the deal lmfao. Oh well shit happens I guess. Even tho I have no interest being part of this space in any meaningful way, I do still have a lot of love for it because like a lot of you I grew up in it. That’s why my goal has always been to preserve and protect things that were part of that history. Unfortunately someone with deep ties to the community that wanted to buy Obey got outbid after some complications. I was originally gonna continue being an owner if they bought it. Sadly this put me in a position where I was forced to sell along with the other owners. Thank you to all the fans and Obey members that had been on this journey with me. We put out some incredible content on Obey over the years and created some incredible memories. Onto the next chapter.

@StonkHands pretty much all square cut cards originated from a full sheet and “hand-cut” by someone rather than “factory-cut” there are the rare occasional outliers but those usually have at least one or more round factory cuts as well. super sick cards!

The days of buying Pokemon Booster boxes for $90-$100 are long gone. The market won't "crash", but a new floor will be set. Being able to walk into a store and buying product without having to worry about scalpers, waiting in the cold, or fighting in the parking lot is a thing of the past unfortunately.

I feel we really need to figure out a better way of clarifying eras of Pokemon cards. "Mid-era" is such a bad and ambiguous term that no one agrees on what it means. And when does something become mid-era? When does it become vintage? Is a 20 year old card not vintage?
