I cannot tell you the number of times I go to verify a sermon illustration story I've heard and find it exaggerated at best and many times outright false. Pastors please trust, but verify, your sermon illustrations.

To me the message was clear. We do not consider the Strait of Hormuz as a strategic necessity. Trump said the US and Venezuela make more oil than anyone in the world and our numbers will only increase. Oil at $100+ will create a boom for US shale operators. Making it profitable up develop tier 2 and tier 3 acreage that is currently uneconomic.
