in base Mario 64, if you lose all of your health points, the game doesn't actually go through the killing process unless you're on any kind of trigger that allows for death animations to play, (solid ground, water, etc.) 1/2

I'm not sure how similar DS is to base Mario 64 but in this example, using my knowledge of base Mario 64, Wario was actually already dead in this video before he ever got near the water, explanation in 🧵

@Render96 and it's this disconnect that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It seems to me that your revised model, while period accurate, doesn't match any design used for the character that was actually present in Super Mario 64. Your previous model did, and I appreciated that.

After over 2.5 years, a new model pack update is out! This replaces Mario, Luigi, Wario, Yoshi, Tuxie, Pokeys, Lakitus, and Koopas. Both the texture pack and the voice packs have been updated as well! :) Download on GitHub: github.com/Render96/Model… Or on pcbuilder2 very soon😄

@JigjagTheGreat The reason we know that this was from before those games is because the Mario and Yoshi are featured together, with the Mario design predating Mario 64’s development entirely.

@JigjagTheGreat The model was made before Mario Kart 64, and before Mario 64, as seen in the artwork from the 1996 company report. This is the same model as shown above in an earlier state:

@MattFazer102 1) On release it should be added to builder2 :) 2) Yes, that is still happening! Models are the big focus right now to get everything up to the highest quality we can, but we’ve got some level models in production as well! :^)

@Render96 2 questions here: 1) The updated Renders96 of both Brothers will be automatically updated trough Build2? 2) The project about Render96 on every world is still active?

New Luigi model! | | This model was made to match Mario’s final Mario 64 design, as opposed to the design Luigi has in other games of the era. That said, both this and a faithful version of Luigi will be available for download on release day! :)
