It's always a pleasure meeting with the Rural Water Association of Utah. They even brought a sample of Utah’s Best Tasting Water for 2025, and I can confirm it absolutely lived up to the title. We are fortunate to have such dedicated professionals working to protect and improve water quality across Utah.

When Utahns were stranded in Dubai after regional airspace shut down, the entire Utah delegation immediately got to work. While Secretary of State Marco Rubio was briefing members of Congress, I pulled him aside to make it clear that a large number of the Americans stuck in the UAE were Utahns and asked what steps were being taken to help bring them home. Sen. Lee had done the same. Nearly 25% of the U.S. citizens stranded there were from Utah. That’s why I coordinated closely with the State Department to make sure these families got the support they needed. Helping Utahns in moments like this is exactly why we do this job. Proud of the teamwork that helped get our people home.

Assembling care packages this morning was the least I could do to support our deployed service members. I’m grateful for the brave men and women protecting our nation, and for the work USO is doing to support, strengthen, and connect them with home. 🇺🇸

Under-regulated prediction markets have exposed America to needless public safety and national security risks by allowing traders to invest in outcomes related to sensitive matters like terrorism, assassination, war, or elections. Prediction markets also sponsor sports-related contracts against the wishes of many states, including Utah, that would otherwise prohibit these contracts if offered as traditional sports betting. I am excited to partner with @RepCarbajal on this nonpartisan issue to ensure event contracts can continue to serve legitimate business interests while protecting Americans from risk.

Hiking and biking trails have always been a major component of recreation and community events along the Wasatch Front. Unfortunately, federal red tape has made it impossible for necessary trail maintenance to move forward and for the construction of new trails connecting the existing trail network. The Fruit Heights Land Conveyance Act will allow the city to make these improvements and increase recreational access for Utahns.
