I'm really excited about @blockamoto's new proposal for a standard called DMT-420. This might just be what #Bitmap needs to hit $10,000 per piece. Non-arbitrary tokens could serve a bigger purpose. Hats off to @iman_blockrun and @TheBlockRunner for the idea of NF-NATs (non-fungible non-arbitrary tokens). The potential of this concept is huge. Imagine a protocol that lets you create NFTs with a non-arbitrary growth rate, expanding your community. Imagine playing a game in the metaverse where defeating a dragon rewards you with a unique item, exclusive to you because it's tied to the block data when you defeated the dragon. Even more, imagine a game designed to drop a rare sword every 100 blocks, a sword that exists independently of any future updates. For gamers and game designers alike, this concept offers exciting new gameplay mechanics. Games are only an example but this tech could be used in any digital project with economy. Of course, this protocol is not even introduced yet but the more eyes and devs are looking in that way the better the chance we have to come up with new mechanics and protocols that will reinvent the digital economy of the future. Something that is 10x better than what we currently have. I'm excited about what's coming next. The reason the ETF is not a sell the news event is simple. Self custody. Say you’re a retiree, pension fund, financial manager. Most people (including me) don’t feel comfortable self custodying millions (or tens). There’s no way they are just gonna leave their money on say “Coinbase” either. So really what is the option for a normie manager managing multiple clients or an individual to add large amount of bitcoins to their portfolio? The answer is they don’t. This is what the ETF is for. It allows the biggest money holders in the world to actively invest in a way that is comfortable n easy for them. Again no 65 year old with a 10 mil portfolio is gonna self custody 500k in bitcoin. Their manager is not gonna self custody it either, especially not across 20-100 clients each. With an ETF…they will…. Making bitcoin a routine asset in most funds/portfolios Aka this isn’t a sell the news. It’s a beginning of steady flow into the asset from the largest holders of wealth in the world.

Bitcoin at $45k still feels mispriced for 2024 ETF inflows and halving excitement Market consensus is that ETF is long term bullish for $BTC which is correct, but the frontloading of ETF flows is underappreciated Consider that gold ETFs have $120B AUM with an average expense ratio of 0.6%. That's $720m a year in fees. Net Present Value of these fees is ~$10-20B+ So from launch day, ETF issuers will be fighting an all-out land grab for $10-20B in future fees where every marketing dollar spent in 2024 is 10x more important than marketing dollars spent in 2025 since once customers choose an ETF, they don't really switch And with asset management, you have a business where customer value continues to increase over time which means getting every customer counts. A kid that puts in $1,000 today could have a position worth $250k in 10 years as they mature in their career and the price of BTC grows When you think about the size of the opportunity, it shouldn't surprise us to see marketing/ad spend on the scale of 2021 bull madness. When you consider the importance of timing for issuers, maybe we even take it a level further. It's going to be a bonanza.
