I'm seeing people in the replies asking why the administration isn't suing Harvard over its ongoing anti-white discrimination. Valid question. But the answer is that the DOJ filed a lawsuit in February to obtain admissions data, which will likely prove that Harvard is still discriminating against whites. The DOJ can then use this data to file another, more serious lawsuit. President Trump was right to crack down on DEI and other discriminatory policies. Some institutions got with the program; others have clearly attempted to maintain these policies. That's why enforcement matters. This stuff is a good start, but I hope to see more of it from the admin.

The solution to this problem is already in the process of unfolding, through malpractice lawsuits and the pediatric professional orgs. In an egregious case, maybe we’ll see a criminal lawsuit eventually, but that will take a local DA somewhere to take initiative. And they have taken steps in the Ed Dept. too, to restrict the misbehavior of teachers, I believe.

I mean the “size of the economy” is valuable for international comparison and state capacity. It’s also (yes of course consider Laffer curve) an indication of how much we could tax if we raised taxes. Or how much we could lower taxes and collect the same amount of revenue as a prior year, due to GDP growth
