Went to see the Mario Galaxy Movie again and still love it! Definitely solidified my opinion of it.
This time around, I spotted Doc Louis on a bike with Little mac running behind him. Look for him when Yoshi's walking down the streets. Also think I saw Samus's Gunship too.

@Shrevident91 @Plasma_Legion Right!! Fan bases used to be specific spaces for niche interests to interact with each other over. Now, they're marketed as inclusive outreach programs or expectant quotas to fulfill.
It's ridiculous and absolutely a result of certain groups invading those spaces.

@Plasma_Legion It's getting hard to even want to call myself a fan of anything anymore when the standards are getting so low. Fandoms used to be a way to connect with like minded people who liked the same things. Now, there's a chance a fellow "fan" won't even like the same things.

@TheStrxggler I actually do have a decent amount of faith in this movie, but trailers really have got to try to be different. They're all so formulaic at this point.
And this song? You'd be better off going with an extremely obvious, even cliche, song like "Mama Said Knock You Out".

This is either going to be somehow a hilarious but sincere movie or an absolute trainwreck. There is no in-between.
Also the trailer's music is so scattershot that Jackson Polluck is taking pointers from it.

@AnAverageGamerX Unfortunately, I don't think anybody can do the Multiverse for the next couple of decades or so. Marvel ruined it badly enough, but then SOOOOO many other stories used it at the same time.
It's an instant turnoff at this point. We've explored the idea and, it's played and dull.

@Sesa_Opas I haven't seen it, but of the bits and pieces I have seen, it looked a little too serious and slow. It's just a different approach— not necessarily wrong though.
This new film has the chance to show off a lot more of the SF universe's ideas which seems like a good move to me.

If Capcom leans into the silly absurdity of it all, I think this will do great. Based on the trailer, it looks like they're mostly doing just that.
It'll be very impressive if Capcom pulls this off because it's another very challenging film project in terms of pleasing people.

@GroomAndGhoul Yep. It should prioritize the players first and foremost which already sets up a divide from moviegoers expecting an intensely narrative driven film and I think that's perfectly fine. You should prioritize the best audience and it looks like that's what Capcom's doing.

Quirks are just the X-Gene but in an actually well written setting, up to and including the randomness. You got the characters who rolled " I can control the strong nuclear force" alongside characters who got crab claws or prehensile eyebrows.
Stands meanwhile are a safe bet in terms of raw power, with user skill being a deciding factor.

- Vash's decision to shoot was immediately skimmed by and never be mentioned again.
- Knives saves Legato just to kill him instantly.
- Knives turns "good" way too easy.
- Tesla had no purpose.

@Strangeland_Elf Right? Stampede did well with it's ideas even if they were a bit cramped, but then Stargaze gradually fumbled more and more.
With so much being changed, I would've honestly been fine if Legato became the new main villain because they did Nai's arc well in Stampede.

I can’t stand fake shit in general, this directly falls under that for me. I will play devils advocate and say social media pressure doesn’t help and can force people to become performative the bigger following they have, that’s just human nature.
Nonetheless it isn’t an excuse to lie about mundane things about what games you’ve played. You’re allowed to keep your privacy, but why boast about games you have never played? Let alone make an entire persona out of it, which is asinine.
I did not have any direct issue with her, I had initially followed her when I first made a Twitter because I was like “oh cool a Zelda account”, but then the posts started getting really preachy and leftoid sounding so I unfollowed
