MacArthur says that Jesus longs for judgment, in order to bring an end to sin & sinners.
So, in his Calvinism, Jesus longs to pass final, harsh, irrevocable judgment upon sinners that he ORDAINED to be sinners with no possible option to be anything else.

Why do Calvinists work SO HARD as door-to-door salesmen for Calvinism?
They do little else.

Most so-called evangelism in the West fails because the few who do evangelize cast seed on hardened ground with a man-centered, powerless "Gospel." The 4 Spiritual Laws don’t confront sin, Lordship, or repentance. They produce occasional "decisions"… not committed disciples.

@RisingDisciples I get your point, but now your problem is with people who should be shouting on the streetcorner, not with anything inside the churches. Unbelievers have too much apathy for them to decide to riot. The hate and persecution is in the form of avoidance.

"Keeping sinners from being comfortable in the pews" is a subjective opinion that falls far short of what biblical Ecclesia has always done.

But from my point of view that's liberal Christianity, not the conservative Baptist, Methodist*, or Pentecostal churches in my town whose "activities" lead people to God's Word and whose sermons declare the power of God.

I am continually encouraging by the rapidly growing number of people pursuing and returning to biblical ekklesia. I don't think it is just my algorithm, I am seeing it in the real world as well. Anyone else?

In the West, we debate denominations.
In China, Iran, Somalia; FOLLOWING Christ can cost you everything.
They aren’t arguing Catholic vs Orthodox vs Protestant. They’re risking their lives to follow Jesus.
When pressure comes, labels fade. What remains is real discipleship.

@RisingDisciples John Piper admitted to me publicly that he doesn't know anything about Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion. None of them are aware that Calvin taught a temporary election for some.

@RisingDisciples You're not "ordained" to sin because the All Knowing has already seen it happen. You still have free will, He just allows people to do what they decide to do, it's not a designed rejection, it's an allowed rejection, but that doesn't change the repercussions, it supports them.
