@FormulaRana It isn't about you not rating Norris, I think that matters the least. My gripe will on the statement of 'Performs when the stars are aligned' because it ignores the 2025 season of Lando where he had a car against his driving style and had the worst luck out of three contenders

I’m gobsmacked as to how people care so much about this. Some fans live through the eyes of their driver - and if their driver is not portrayed as some sort of God of driving then it’s “nonsense”
For what it’s worth - Norris hovers in that Rosberg talent bracket, a bit below in my opinion, but where exactly he ranks amongst his peers - who honestly cares. He might be better, he might be worse. That’s exactly where I’ve always rated Russell, too - so they must be close.
Whether he’s actually better than Russell or not really isn’t the end of the world. It’s like petty fighting to decide who is best of the rest - why get so invested and bookmark opinions from 1.5 years ago? That’s genuine insanity - and funny from my POV.
Ultimately - Norris has the WDC and that’s what matters. All these other debates - don’t take them to heart, because nobody can prove how they’d stack up in equal machinery against each other until it actually happens.

I’m not saying Norris > Russell though. I’m just not saying Russell > Norris anymore. Truthfully - and I’ll elaborate further - they are cut from exactly the same cloth. They’re “stars aligned” drivers. In the sense that - when they’re in a good place, feel good with the car, everything goes smoothly - they can be at the highest level. But once you push them out of their comfort zone, they struggle a bit more. They both perform better when not in dominant machinery. Which is a bizarre trait.

Religiously, the subcontinent is still quite illiterate and backward in many ways. For example if you wear a thobe, cover your head and have a beard, people start asking you for fatwas.
