“It was the most disturbing and chilling day of my career”: @lewis_goodall reflects on covering Jo Cox’s murder, 10 years on.
“I thought it would be a warning, and Britain might pull back…
“But it was the start of more political violence.”
@jonsopel
English

What point?
Why is it you people can identify cause and effect when it suits your politics but when it doesn't it has no connection at all?
It's a power play, as it always is with liberals and the left. You play the soft touch but are the most decrepit and malevolent people in this country.
Hence, you will be defeated (politically before you have a hissy fit), we've all tried the half measures. Everyone's had enough of this snotty analysis that pretends to be universal.
English

@TheNewsAgents @lewis_goodall @jonsopel More disturbing and chilling than 7/7 and Lee Rigby. I wonder why?
They have nothing to do with the violence we've had to endure ever since, including Jo Cox's awful murder... 🤔
You will never learn, and therefore have to be defeated.

@Kathryn52160597 @mymyxmu @EdwardJDavey And she’s blocked me. Let me guess, she loves free speech? She can thank Kier for this graph which should make her happy… even if some of her best friends are brown 🤣

English

@Kathryn52160597 @mymyxmu @EdwardJDavey That you’re siding with a pedo whilst shouting save our women & children because you don’t like brown people. Bye bye.
English

@RussAppleby @mymyxmu @EdwardJDavey He was never found guilty of this. I can imagine it was a lie - perpetrated by those who didn’t like his ideas on immigration. 🙁

In the early hours of this morning, I directed our Armed Forces to intercept a shadow fleet oil tanker attempting to pass through the English Channel.
This successful operation delivers yet another blow to Russia and reminds those fueling Putin's war in Ukraine that we will not let them hide.
I want to thank those involved, including our Armed Forces and law enforcement officers who keep this country safe 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
English

@YvetteCooperMP But can’t stop the other small boats in the channel… selective or what!!!
English

Last night our armed forces intercepted one of Russia’s sanctioned ships in the Channel as part of the UK’s work cutting off the revenues that fund missiles, drones and the continued bombardment of Ukrainian cities.
These illegal ships exist to move sanctioned Russian oil and gas around the world to keep money flowing into Putin's war machine. We are taking action against this illegal activity in our waters.
Thank you to our armed forces and the NCA for their work to interdict this vessel.
English

Can you stop the boats across the channel now then?

@EdwardJDavey And we all know Enoch Powell was spot on with what he said
English

@Calamity_clr @Keir_Starmer Thinking; It’s harder than it looks.
English

@KTHopkins @jessestand9 In that case I dare you to tell people to burn houses down. All in my arse you racist coward.
English

@jessestand9 I have no regard for their rules. Whatever the cost. I’ve been all in for 20 years. Onwards

@tharlear @SaulStaniforth @ClaireHanna For the even harder of thinking. Here it is explained for children.

English

@SaulStaniforth @ClaireHanna For the hard-of-thinking, Claire displays a logical fallacy known as Whataboutism (a specific form of Tu Quoque, or the "you too" fallacy). Instead of addressing the specific incident, she redirects toward a completely different set of crimes committed by a different group.
English

.@ClaireHanna: "Last week, in a very high profile case, the murder of Natalie McNally, the judge.. talked about a frenzied knife attack, he talked about wounds so bad the cause of death was unable to to be determined. There were no riots over the perpetrator of that brutal crime"
