At today’s @SERCReliability Board meeting, @DragosInc CISO Ben Miller warned of rising OT‑focused cyber threats to the BPS, citing new threat groups and recent incidents. He stressed stronger controls, better network separation, and faster response to protect grid reliability.

At @SERCReliability's Spring Board meeting, leaders from @insideFPL showed how AI is boosting grid reliability—avoiding 44k truck rolls, preventing 2.7M outages, and powering 246k smart devices. Human‑centered, secure AI is now essential for storm response and grid resilience.

@SERCReliability welcomed new Board members from across the region, each bringing valuable industry experience and leadership. Our Board volunteers their time to support reliability and security during a period of major change. We appreciate their commitment and service.

Ken DeFontes of the @NERC_Official Board of Trustees spoke at the SERC Spring Board Meeting about the need for courage and leadership as the ERO faces new challenges. He stressed strong NERC–Regional alignment, modernizing standards, and ensuring resources to support reliability.

Jim Robb (@NercRobb), President and CEO of @NERC_Official, joined the @SERCReliability Spring Board Meeting and spoke about the extraordinary change facing the ERO to discuss NERC’s reliability assessments, moving at the speed of risk, and the urgency of integrating large loads.

Jason Blake opened the @SERCReliability Board Meeting by thanking @insideFPL for hosting and highlighting the innovation on display. He noted rising demand and stressed the need for coordination, clear risk insight, and objective analysis as SERC supports stakeholders.

At SERC's Risk Committee meeting, Josh Murphy shared key regional risk trends from the SERC LTRA and alignment with @NERC_Official findings. Addressing these challenges will demand infrastructure investments and agile transmission development to strengthen grid reliability.

Jon Tauber briefed the @SERCReliability Risk Committee on enforcement and risk assessment progress across the ERO Enterprise. 2025 results include faster minimal‑risk timelines, effective case management, 17 settlements, and key 2026 priorities to strengthen efficiency.

@SERCReliability team members Jermaine Green, Joseph Tromba, and Travis Moran contributed to discussions at SecureWorld Charlotte on cybersecurity, risks facing the electric utility sector, and interdependencies between data centers and electric utilities. #Collaboration

@SERCReliability welcomed Soo Jin Kim of @NERC_Official to our Joint Technical Committee Meetings to share MSPP Task Force recommendations. She highlighted how updates to standards initiation, drafting, and balloting can strengthen collaboration and reduce delays.

@SERCReliability has released a new one‑page regional overview highlighting key risks and focus areas for the SERC Region, aligned with NERC’s Long‑Term Reliability Assessment. A short video walkthrough is coming soon to share more on regional trends and collaboration.

Jason Blake, President & CEO at @SERCReliability gave an update on the rise in electricity demand across SERC’s 16‑state region, driven by population growth, industry, electrification and data center expansion. He stressed early visibility, coordination and data‑driven planning.

Adam Taylor briefed committees today on recent cyber incidents in Poland and what they mean for our region. He highlighted common vulnerabilities like exposed remote access and weak credentials, stressing the need for strong access controls to protect reliability. #Reliability
