I finish my 6-month term on the inaugural Roblox Community Safety Council. I was one of 20 members. Here are my thoughts: I went in with questions & concerns, especially as I own & operate @Roblox_RTC. I knew the community's frustration, grievances, and mistrust. The only thing I can say, and keep in mind, this is my view from interacting with them, in regards to safety: @Roblox does listen and care. Every conversation I had showed their value for realistic solutions. Every issue anybody had was met with conversation from councilmember and staff alike. Roblox recently stated that "no system is perfect", I agree. Everybody there had appraisals and criticisms for current or future systems, but the thing I appreciated was: we all came from perspective, as creators, players, and developers. This led to genuinely informed and pragmatic conversations, focusing on how to be proactive instead of reactive; Additionally, we all wanted one thing, Roblox to be safer. I believe this council has contributed to that goal. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity, I am honored to have served with the councilmembers I did, and lastly, privileged to see firsthand how Roblox Staff think about safety. I understand this post style is not usual for me; however, this is a genuine reflection on my part. If you have any questions, feel free to ask! @ZAZC_x @EVERETSMASTER @Roblox_RTC I have a question regarding persona, if the data is managed by the company using the services, then what happened with the discord situation? Didn't persona get compromised and tons of data from people including face, ID and more things i think got leaked? I just wanna know

do u not understand how data privacy laws or the legal system? ☠️ FTC Act (this is a law) forbids companies for using deceptive trade practices. if roblox says they will delete ur data, and they don't delete it, they will be SUED. (15 U.S.C. § 45) for privacy policies, they are again, REQUIRED BY LAW to fulfill them. the reason your data is sold is because their privacy policy states: "if u use our website, we can do this. signing up means you agree to these terms". if a website does not do this, they violate laws such as the GDPR and CCPA. barely anybody reads the terms of service, but its just like a contract, if you didnt read it and still signed it, you are held to those terms. i agree, persona seems shady, but they are a SERVICE that allows whoever is using them to CONTROL the data. roblox has the ability for you to automatically delete the data. so its either: 1. keep the data illegally, and if any are leaked, face MASSIVE fines and completely lose any trust they have; or 2. follow through with their words. even if we view it as "companies are inherently evil", they have too much incentive to follow through with their words than act against it.

We do strongly support gender non-conformity. We do not use the "progressive" pride flag because it is neither progressive nor does it elicit a sense of pride.

@sayso_1230 for me this type of thing just looks... wrong. it is not something bad but also makes it feel like level 100 isn't that valuable anymore, although it would be perfect if there was an option to disable it. or if the extra levels were displayed on the side, that would be great.
