In other words, they simply didn’t think he was good enough. There was no financial obstacle… He just didn’t do enough to justify the investment. Most importantly, this decision wasn’t made by people who “hate” him, as his supporters often claim. It was a football decision made by professionals whose job is to assess players objectively.
