It was great to meet with Australian Foreign Minister @SenatorWong on the margins of the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in New Delhi today. We're making sure our alliance and partnership benefits Americans and Australians alike, and our collaboration through the Quad is a force for a more stable, secure, prosperous world.

America was built, defended, and preserved by those willing to give everything for it. On Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation and our freedom. We will never forget them.

The U.S. stands firmly with the legitimate Government of Lebanon as it works to restore its authority and build a better future for all its people. Hizballah's threats of violence and overthrow will not be allowed to succeed. The era in which a terrorist group held an entire nation hostage is coming to an end.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran would rather invest in the rapists and murderers of Hamas than their own people. The BBC and these other media outlets should be covering how evil these people are in Iran and the damage they’ve done to people all over the world.

SECRETARY RUBIO: Iran has spent millions of dollars sponsoring terrorism all over the world, not improving the life of their people. That’s why their people are always in the street protesting. Their economy is in shambles because the regime doesn’t invest in their economy.

🚨 SECRETARY RUBIO: The idea that the President is going to agree to a deal that puts Iran in a stronger position on nuclear ambitions is ABSURD. That’s just not going to happen.

Because of their great work, India has committed to purchasing $500 billion in U.S. goods over the next five years focusing on energy, technology, and agriculture. They're doing terrific work on behalf of President Trump and the American people!

Dedicated a new consular wing at our Embassy in New Delhi that will provide the necessary infrastructure for more rigorous vetting, processing, and screening to protect U.S. borders. Every visa decision is a national security decision, and I’m proud to empower the Americans who work here as they serve on the frontlines of advancing our interests and President Trump’s America First foreign policy.

In New Delhi, I met with Indian Prime Minister @narendramodi to underscore the importance of the U.S.-India relationship. We discussed the situation in the Middle East and U.S.-India partnership in energy, securing critical supply chains, and collaboration on emerging technologies. I was pleased to invite Prime Minister Modi to the White House on behalf of the President.

Mother Teresa left a tremendous legacy of compassion and service. I was honored to visit the Missionaries of Charity today to pay homage to her legacy and to see the living example of the Catholic faith in action.

Leaving Sweden after productive NATO meetings. The goal is to have a NATO that is strong. The stronger our NATO Allies are, the stronger NATO is going to be.

Met today with Turkish Foreign Minister @HakanFidan to talk about the continued strategic necessity for all Allies to meet their defense commitments and plans for the upcoming NATO Summit in Turkiye. We also discussed opening the Strait of Hormuz and working toward greater regional stability.

🚨Joint Statement on Arctic Security from the Arctic Allies: Recognizing the security challenges and economic opportunities in the Arctic and the High North, the Arctic Allies met to discuss our efforts to build a secure and prosperous region. The Arctic is quickly becoming a sphere of increasing geopolitical strategic importance. With Russia’s increased military activity and China’s growing strategic interest, we seek to bolster stability in the Arctic region. We are enhancing our military presence, surveillance capabilities, and joint training in the Arctic and the High North. We do so in a coordinated and calibrated way. We support NATO’s increased presence in the region through activities such as Arctic Sentry, Air Policing in Iceland, and Forward Land Forces Finland, as well as the ongoing strengthening of the Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, a new CAOC in Norway and the ongoing modernization of NORAD. Today, we have agreed to deepen our dialogue on security challenges in the Arctic and the High North. With new opportunities opening up, and new challenges emerging, close cooperation on Arctic security and economic development among our nations is more important than ever – as Europe and Canada are assuming a greater responsibility for deterrence and defense across the region. We also recognize the importance of economic and resource development in the Arctic and have tasked our experts to coordinate more closely on these issues, including research security, investment screening, and critical infrastructure modernization and protection. We look forward to continuing to work together to achieve our common goal of a secure, prosperous, and peaceful Arctic.

I met with @SwedishPM Kristersson after the NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting. We agreed on the importance of strengthening transatlantic defense cooperation. Pleased to have signed the U.S.-Sweden Technology Prosperity Deal with @MariaStenergard.

At the NATO Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Sweden. Thankful for our great allies who've met their commitments to defense spending, proving that alliances are partnerships, not one way streets.

In my meeting with @SecGenNATO I underscored that the Alliance must unambiguously commit at the upcoming Ankara Summit to rapidly scale defense production, expand our transatlantic defense industrial base, and turn spending commitments into real warfighting capabilities. A stronger Europe means a stronger NATO.
