How is it that people can master Souls games and Elden Ring or can do intricate combos in Fighting games...
But can't master Tank Controls?

RE2 Remake and RE4 Remake are fine.

@prettz_strife Sometimes games on handheld be looking crazy. For me I notice it on Steam Deck. Usually I can handle it buuut newer games aren't holding up too well

@ShadowEliteHD I never played it back in the day for afew differant reasons, I went tonplay it when they re-released it and just never found the time. Got it on switch thinking portability would help, it looks TERRIBLE on switch 2 handheld. The New boost mode has made it look slightly better

I'll admit when it launched I didn't like FFXII but couple of years passed and I came back to it fully understanding it's genius. Not it's story or characters but it's gameplay is top tier. It took me liking Dragon Age 1 and Xenoblade 1 to come back to FFXII

@ShadowEliteHD I got “Dragon’s Dogma II” right before it went off its launch sale. Thankfully it’s different enough from the first game that you don’t need to play it to enjoy the second.

@RobDavi41623816 @ShadowEliteHD So again the player has the tools to make companions that can lead to a game clear, made by the devs, but you are implying the devs themselves were incapable of doing the same - only the players are that good at using the AI tools the devs made.

Record of Agarest War 1. The absolute struggle & tedium that it took to beat this game cannot be expressed fully (and it's sequel although I have a soft spot for that one). Early day Compile Heart game at its best (read: worst)
Nice generational protagonists concept tho. And my Top 20 favorite final boss themes.

@ShadowEliteHD I tried Record of Agarest War Zero and just could not deal with it
Really felt like grinding was baked into the game as it's core idea and completing any battle felt tedious.
I dropped it.

@ShadowEliteHD I respect that. For me, it’s the only Final Fantasy game that I actively hate. Mostly due to the characters and story. Half of the cast literally has no reason to be there.

@mrblazguy @Pixelpuck2001 Exactly this. Doesnt help the game didn't explain damn near anything (same with it's sequel) but it's been out for nearly 20 years now (damn) so I'm sure there's in depth guides and videos how to play the game super efficiently. But back then? It was a nightmare.

@Pixelpuck2001 @ShadowEliteHD I love the game however there is a lot of problems combat is tedious gearing is grind getting the true ending requirements are a pain in the ass it's best to follow a guide for it and after reaching the true end the last bit of the game requires a shit ton of grinding
