Have you ever thought about the big difference between Judas and Peter in the Bible?
Both men failed Jesus in terrible ways.
Yet their stories ended very differently.
Judas betrayed our Lord for thirty pieces of silver.
When he realized what he had done, he felt deep regret.
But instead of turning to God, he fell into despair.
He tried to give the money back, but then he went out and took his own life.
Peter, on the other hand, denied even knowing Jesus three times on the night of His arrest.
When the rooster crowed, and Jesus looked at him, Peter wept bitterly.
His heart was broken.
But Peter did not stay in his guilt.
He repented and turned back to the Lord.
Later, Jesus restored Peter and even used him to build the early church.
The Bible tells us there is a difference between worldly sorrow and godly sorrow.
Worldly sorrow, as Judas had, leads to death.
Godly sorrow, like Peter's, leads to repentance and life.
Friends, when we mess up and sin against God, we have a choice.
We can let despair take over, or we can repent and receive the forgiveness that Jesus offers.
His mercy is always there for those who turn to Him.
Let us choose repentance as Peter did.

@DayeBrooke I know this is alarming but it’s going to be ok. Any day now our esteemed govt (much smarter than you & I) is going to succeed in making guns illegal so things like this will NEVER happen again. Criminals can’t shoot if guns are illegal!

God I’m getting sick and tired of Canada. The taxes, the stupidity, the anti Americanism, the immigration, the govt corruption, the medical tyranny, the failing healthcare. Mostly tho I’m sick and tired of LYING Liberals and the people that turn a blind eye to their malfeasance

I think a lot of Canadians take Canada for granted. They think their rights and freedoms are safe. Like they’re children living in a “stable” home. The thought that it can all fall apart doesn’t register. It can. And it is.

@BoCamaro See an endocrinologist if you can. Thyroid levels have a wide range of “normal” so you may fall in that range but still feel awful. You want to find your “optimal” range and an endocrinologist will monitor closely and tweak meds to find it.

So I had vloodwork done before I left to come to Atlanta. Been dealing with some health stuff for awhile, but my eyes have been a real worry. My vision is changing rapidly and I was told last year that if we don't get this inflammation under control that it could get really bad.
Well, I got a call yesterday that we may have finally found the reason. Seems my thyroid is barely working. Kot only does this explain the extreme fatigue, but more importantly, it explains the hell my eyes are going through.
I'm starting a medicine this morning to hopefully replace that hormone. The Doc said I sold start feeling better and my eyes should be much improved in the next couple of weeks to a month...
I sure hope so.
Any of you have issues with your thyroid? Did the meds help?

@infantrydort I encountered McChrystal one time in a Crystal City restaurant. He & the entourage of sycophants & hacks he surrounded himself with convinced me that he'd been elevated far above his actual talent but well below his ego's desires.

This isn’t even what I dislike about General McChrystal the most.
When he was our commander in Afghanistan, he told us to practice “courageous restraint”.
An ROE policy that largely gave the enemy the advantage and put us on the back foot.
It was so ridiculous that Netflix made a movie about it starring Brad Pitt.
The movie was a joke. It was meant to be funny.
Sure wasn’t that funny to some of us who lived it.
I’m uninterested in his advice here. Or his opinion about behavior.
