Critics argue "Eritrea" is fake country & the borders were "artificially" drawn by Italy in 1890 and do not reflect "natural" ethnic or historic boundaries. Do you agree?

Is there any other country that has done for Somalia what Türkiye has done? — Is there a country that spends millions of dollars every month on Somalia? — Is there a country that contributes to Somalia’s annual budget every year? — Is there another country that works closely with the Somali government to bring security and rebuild the Somali Air Force? — Is there another country that protects Somalia from illegal fishing by licensing its waters and generating millions in revenue? — Is there another country that has initiated the construction of a space launch facility that could bring billions of dollars and thousands of jobs? — Is there another country that treats its navy as if it were Somalia’s own and stands by Somalia in all challenges?
Hodan Ali@hodansomali

Türkiye is now embedded in EVERYTHING Somalia. Our ports, airport, education, hospitals, politics, and natural resources. From culture to language to business. A deep strategic entrenchment. Somalis WE must ask - where does partnership end and control begin? @HassanSMohamud @RTErdogan

US will no doubt recognise Somaliland as it serves core interests: reducing reliance on crowded Djibouti and securing the Bab al-Mandab. Berbera offers a strategic port and naval access to protect global shipping and strengthen US security.

@FevenYemaney All began with General Al-Burhan choosing to enter into military pact with sworn enemies of Ethiopia (Egypt & it's slave Eritrea) despite repeating calls & personal visits from PM of Ethiopia to Al-Burhan in Port Sudan. So if this report is true, it's GREAT. 🇪🇹 must secure GERD!

Al Shabaab militants are using at least nine companies to import drones, VHF radios, military camouflage and other terror-related cargo from China through Kenya. Security sources on Thursday said the militia uses the cargo companies’ employees to ship the consignments to Dhobley in Somalia and finally to Buale, Jilib, the de facto capital of the Islamic Emirate of Somalia controlled by the terror group. standardmedia.co.ke/national/artic…

@mkheirom So what if Ethiopia supports RSF & SPLM-N? Al-Burhan has chosen to be supported by enemies of Ethiopia, mainly Egypt & it's slave Eritrea. Ethiopia is only defending & securing it's interests like the GERD from hostile foreign attacks pre-emptively.

More concrete evidence of #Ethiopia supporting #Sudan’s #RSF.

🇸🇩 💢 Yale report finds evidence of RSF military support from Ethiopian base A new investigation by Yale’s Humanitarian Research Lab says it has “high confidence” that Ethiopia’s military is facilitating support to Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) from a base in Asosa, based on months of satellite imagery and open-source data. ▫️Key findings from the report: 🔹 Repeated vehicle deliveries: Commercial car carriers were seen arriving at the Asosa base and unloading light vehicles that Yale says do not match standard Ethiopian military vehicles. 🔹 Vehicles modified at the base: Some of those unloaded vehicles later appeared to be fitted with gun mounts for heavy machine guns. 🔹 Large support buildup: Yale identified tents, cargo containers, fuel capacity, and frequent vehicle turnover consistent with an active logistics hub. 🔹 Link to fighting inside Sudan: Vehicles with the same colors, type, and mounted weapons seen at Asosa also appeared in open-source photos and videos from RSF fighting around Kurmuk in Sudan’s Blue Nile state. 🔹 Unusual compared to other bases: Yale says it reviewed 14 other Ethiopian military bases and did not find similar patterns. 🔹 Broader conclusion: The report says this is evidence RSF attacks in Blue Nile are being launched and supplied from inside Ethiopian territory, which could violate the UN arms embargo.

Is 🇪🇷 Eritrea’s Isaias Afwerki Diabetic or Suffering from Skin Cancer? Disclaimer: I am not a dermatologist, nor a medical doctor. I am not claiming to be one. Based on the visual features of his feet in the image posted this morning, there is a possibility that he is living with diabetes or skin cancer. For diabetic people, the skin is often one of the first indicators of the condition. The darkened, scaly, and hyperpigmented patches on the ankles and tops of his feet resemble diabetic dermopathy, a common manifestation that affects diabetic patients due to changes in the small blood vessels. Furthermore, the thickened appearance of his skin could suggest insulin resistance or chronic poor circulation, both of which are frequently associated with long-term blood sugar management issues. Statistically, the likelihood increases with him being over the age of 75. He may also be suffering from some sort of skin cancer. There are three primary types of skin cancer that affect the feet: 1. Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC):
This is considered the most common form of skin cancer found on the feet.
Appearance: It often resembles a scaly, red patch or a firm, red nodule. It may also appear as a wart-like growth or a non-healing sore that may bleed or crust.
Characteristics: While often painless, it can be itchy and may be mistaken for common conditions like athlete’s foot, eczema, or a plantar wart. 2. Malignant Melanoma:
While rarer than SCC, melanoma is the most aggressive and deadly type of skin cancer.
Appearance: It frequently resembles a dark spot or mole with irregular borders and multiple colors (brown, black, tan, red, or even white). 3. Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC):
BCC is the most common skin cancer overall but is less frequent on the feet because it is primarily triggered by chronic sun exposure.
P.S. I will advise him to check by the specialist when I see in June in Asmara.

@pati_marins64 📍 GERD Security: Pro-Addis forces in Blue Nile State create a direct buffer for the dam. 📍 Anti-Encirclement: Disrupting the #Egypt-SAF axis to end military pressure on the western border. 📍 Strategy: Turning the border into an RSF-held zone to secure GERD.

This is a conflict that deserves far more attention from the world. While some African nations strive to maintain Sudan’s unity, others are actively supporting and financing guerrilla groups. I’m not sure if the report is accurate. When Ethiopia is involved, there are always many competing interests at play. This region is strategically vital to the world and remains highly unstable. Africa is a good example of multipolarity that has been playing out for years. There is no effective balance of power to inhibit conflicts. On the contrary, proxy forces have become the preferred tool for nations to project influence in a multipolar world. Yes, we will see more conflicts in the coming decades.

#BREAKING Turkey's expanding oversized influence and role in Somalia upsets Ugandan army chief Gen @mkainerugaba Gen Muhoozi now appears to suggest Uganda may review ties with Turkey. Two states are close partners in Somalia. Worth mentioning Mogadishu airport almost 100% relies on UPDF protection. Turkish companies operating port and airport have large Ugandan staff manning critical security checkpoints. Ugandan security staff enjoy high trust and deemed professionals. No other foreign army has done as much as the UPDF to keep Mogadishu's critical installation secure. Framing Turkey as new saviour of Somalia and minimising sacrifices made by African armies is shameful ingratitude.

@Nikodemus180579 @umutcagrisariii Ethiopian government is vocal about shene & fano criminal activities disrupting economic & civil activities. Ambushing private trucks, buses by blocking roads to tax civilians is terrorism. They hardly engage the Ethiopian army directly. Regardless, they'll be gone soon.

Ethiopia🇪🇹 has won two major international arbitration cases, defeating claims totaling more than $850 million. The disputes involved a Turkish construction firm and a Netherlands-based leasing company. Tribunals ruled in favour of Ethiopia’s right to enforce environmental and regulatory protections. The government says the outcome strengthens its global legal standing and investment governance.
