@NUFCcook There's also absolutely every chance that whenever Howe does leave, if Woltemade is still here, the next manager will think he's not that good. Presumably the same people will want that manager gone as well.

@GazBainbridge He's a good player in parts. But defenders figured out he has a poor first touch & he's struggled since. We don't have a team that suits him but if he wants to make it in the PL he needs to improve & adapt his game also. So far he hasn't, but he might in time.

@CoachMeron A recruitment issue. Brentford & Bournemouth's strength is in their buying & selling as much as anything else. They'll often sell when a replacement is ready to step up.

Look at the players Brentford and Bournemouth lose on a regular basis. One player gone and we are “allowed” to fall apart? New signings haven’t worked or been integrated well – that’s the problem, not losing one player. In short: A coaching issue…
The Athletic | Football@TheAthleticFC

"There was a general acknowledgement that this would become a transitional season once Alexander Isak left just before the summer window closed, but it now feels more like a decline. "Isak’s summer defection was ruinous, but Newcastle’s own business has also proven detrimental. The combined £119m spent on new front men Nick Woltemade and (especially) Yoane Wissa is increasingly looking like a colossal waste of money." @ChrisDHWaugh and @GeorgeCaulkin discuss what has gone wrong at Newcastle United — and what comes next. bit.ly/4d1WlgK

@StevieG_0918 @Mrtn2777 @Scotthowaythel1 His first touch is crap. Defenders soon figured out how to play him by putting him under pressure. He needs to improve and adapt his game as much as the team needs to evolve also. Unless he adapts and improves he'll never make it in the Premier League.

@Mrtn2777 @Scotthowaythel1 His first touch isnt horrid mate. Its becayse our shite wingers only ever give him the ball when hes pressured by 2-3 players. Look at games vs Benfica or Brighton to see his ACTUAL quality when linking woth teamates. Hes a player i genuinley think takes us up that extra level.

The fact we've got a player with Nick's quality on the ball, benched is baffling to me. No coincidence that when he stopped playing in CF, we got worse. 👀 If we sell Woltemade because Eddie Howe can't use technical players I give up on this football club. #NUFC ⚫️⚪️

I just vibe coded a static ad generator in Claude Code that creates 100+ Meta ads in minutes. All using the new, insane ChatGPT Images 2.0 model. One competitor ad + your product photo + your brand kit = dozens of on-brand variations, each targeting a different customer persona. Built 100% in Claude Code on the new ChatGPT Images 2.0. Perfect for DTC brands and agencies who need more statics at scale. Here's how it works: → Upload any competitor ad as your reference template → Add your product photos and brand kit (colors, fonts, logos) → AI generates 10 customer profiles from your brand research → Pick how many variations you want (10, 20, 30) → Tool fires every prompt to ChatGPT Images 2.0 with persona-specific copy for each one No designer back-and-forth. No Canva templates. No generic "Shop Now" on everything. What you get: → Ads that mirror winning concepts in your brand's voice → Text that actually renders correctly (the new model handles dense copy, logos, and multi-language callouts cleanly) → Copy targeted to specific customer pain points and personas → Multi-brand/client support with saved brand kits → Reusable customer profiles you build once and generate from forever I recorded a full walkthrough showing exactly how this works, including ALL the prompts I used so you can build it yourself. Want access to all the prompts for free? > Like this post > Comment "STATICS" And I'll send it over (must be following so I can DM)

We ran a multi-cell conversion lift test with Meta. Partnership ads alongside BAU creative vs BAU only. 800 incremental conversions vs 520 CPA: $25.63 vs $39.34 ROAS: over 10x stronger One change. Identity layer added. Here's why it works. When you run an ad from a creator's identity, Meta doesn't treat it as a variant of your existing creative. It reads it as a signal from a different entity. That unlocks a new audience pool the brand account can't reach on its own. Same hook × different creator = new creative Same format × different identity = new creative Same product × different persona = new creative Most brands running creator content never get here. They're paying for UGC, watching CTR tick up, and missing the actual mechanism. Identity is the multiplier at the top of the creative diversity pyramid. And it's the first lever to pull when first-time impression ratio drops below 10%. We've put together our full Partnership Ads Playbook covering how to find and brief the right creators, how to structure the workflow inside Ads Manager, how to use FTIR as a leading indicator, and when to pull partnership ads as your first response to audience saturation. Retweet this post and comment PLAYBOOK and I'll send it over.

Milkmen were amazing. An electric vehicle that delivered locally sourced, organic produce before dawn every day, no single-use plastics, and recycled the waste as part of the deal. It sounds almost futuristic.
Sama Hoole@SamaHoole

In 1995, 45% of British milk was delivered to the doorstep before seven in the morning by a milkman in an electric float. In 2026, it is 3%. The milkman has been effectively abolished inside one human generation. The supermarket walked in, undercut the cost by a few pence per pint, and the daily ritual of British household life, glass bottles clinking on the step at half past six, was gone by the time the children of 1995 had finished secondary school. The cost to the customer was a few pence per pint. The cost to the system was, in rough order: the glass bottle that was washed and reused hundreds of times, replaced with a plastic bottle that is used once and recycled imperfectly. The local dairy that supplied one town, replaced with a national processor that supplies half the country. The milk that arrived four hours after milking, replaced with milk that arrived three days after milking after a journey of 200 miles. The conversation on the doorstep, replaced with a self-checkout beep. The milkman himself, incidentally, had the lowest recorded rate of heart disease of any male occupation in Britain. He walked approximately 12 miles a day, finished work by 10am, and ate a cooked breakfast. He has been replaced, in the same delivery role, by a zero-hours Amazon Flex driver sitting in a Ford Transit. A small piece of British daily infrastructure was quietly demolished. Nobody was consulted. The milk is still being produced. It is just being produced further away, transported further, kept in plastic, and sold at a different margin, by a different business, to a customer who never sees who milked the cow. The milkman knew your name. The self-checkout does not.

I spent 40 hours reverse-engineering 7 creative strategy tools. Motion, Atria, Foreplay, Gethookd. All of them. What I found: → They're all using the same prompts → Same hook formulas → Same script frameworks → Same research templates So I compiled everything into one doc: 150+ copy-paste prompts 35+ hook tactics with examples 45+ visual format templates Full script frameworks They charge $500/month for this. I'm giving it away free. Comment "PROMPTS" and I'll send it.

@RichySouthern Something potentially keeping Howe in a job. Whoever replaces him will end up in the same position, and chances are by then, more people will realise the bigger issue is the leadership (or lack of) and they'll not have the same protection they do now

It has to be said, they’re an extremely well-run football club. Decisive, efficient and clear in their direction. Meanwhile we outsource interviews, drag decisions out for months, then still get key appointments wrong. My biggest frustration with PIF is the lack of urgency. Elite football moves quickly, and we rarely seem to. Some describe it as a process driven strategy but I highly suspect it’s more a case of being very far down their list of priorities .

@bensprattjourn The narrative around him is really odd. No doubt he's a talent. Not sure he's in the right team (or league) for that talent but the way so many people are making out it's a choice between him & Howe and even somehow concluding he's more important, is very weird!

Should have known better than to pick on the internet’s favourite footballer (who I like, btw), but anyone who was at the game would know these chants were when he was still on the bench – which is very different from just backing a player on the pitch
Ben Spratt@bensprattjourn

Found the chanting for Woltemade yesterday a bit weird. It’s not just on him, of course, but no matter his role, he simply hasn’t impacted PL matches since Christmas: five shots, one on target, zero goals

I don’t recall others taking the team into the Champions League twice or winning a trophy. It’s about looking at the bigger picture & applying context/understanding. Howe has overachieved. He’s allowed a poor season (which includes a Carabao semi final & CL last 16 @ Barcelona)
Ritchie@Ritchie14035531

@CraigHope_DM Can you just answer me 1 thing Craig.....this season football wise is just as bad as a Bruce season, every stat is just as bad as a Bruce season but yet you hounded old Brucey at every opportunity but always defend Howe . Why is that ?

It doesn't matter what fans and the local press pack think about Eddie Howe's continued employment at the club. The players are speaking volumes about what they think. The club need to decide whether to replace a manager or replace 8 players. Not an ideal position.

🤯 Eddie Howe asked if his #NUFC players have 'same fire inside of them' & takes a SEVEN-second pause before answering. “....Yeah, I mean, I'm hesitating because I'm speaking on behalf of other people, and that's very difficult to do. I believe they do. From what I see in the training ground, I don't see any sense of poor attitude or poor commitment to their work. I see a group of players that are always giving their all."

@MarcSDuffy This has been a big part of the problem all season. In part probably because the big Isak shaped gap leaves the others knowing the ball is coming straight back at them. But teams have eased through our midfield for 18 months now and there's been no sign of a fix.
