Nate Oats is no dummy. Jalil Bethea has gotten 4 minutes even with Aden Holloway out. Big "what if" regarding Bethea's preseason injury that bled into nonconference play. But there's always been a disconnect between what (many) Bama fans and coaches think of him this season.

He knocked down six triples in the first half and led all scorers with 22 points. What if Mack had chosen to stay at Alabama and play for Coach Oats as opposed to transferring to Clemson? 🤔

@bamaperspective Plays really hard and you can see (or at least he’s really good at masking it) that he enjoys Bama and the program, and wants to be really good… but I think he feels so much pressure to live up to that 5 star rating and he’s pressing/forcing = frustration for himself.

Rooting for Jalil Bethea. But man, is he thirsty at this point for points/shots. Just starts yelling for the ball every possession and then salivating when he gets it in transition to the point that he dribbles himself into slipping to the ground. Gotta be frustrated with the season. 1/5 tonight while playing 16 minutes and counting. Has grabbed 3 boards though.

I understand what happened the first 2 weeks of the season. Notre Dame would’ve beaten all 4 playoff teams so far this weekend and not a single game would’ve been close.

@Justin_Albers UAB beat Memphis, Memphis beat South Florida, South Florida beat Boise State by 27, Boise State only lost to Notre Dame by 21. So South Florida is +6 better than ND, Memphis is +9 better than ND, and UAB is +16 better than ND.

I just have to say ... SEC fans will lie to you, but tonight's game was a level and a half below what Indiana-Ohio State was. Neither team is very good, in my opinion. Notre Dame would've beaten either team by 17+.
