“Actual Twitter Chat” - @TeachBloom “twitter.com/TeachBloom/tim…”
Got to collaborate with other future and current teachers about technology integration in the classroom!
Here is a history meme I made using @imgflip memes are a great way to add a little bit of humor to the class while reminding students of expectations. This one is a reminder that history goes beyond the textbook, but it's a good starting point. #educw200@educguo30

Here is the link to an @edpuzzle I made earlier today. It is such a quick and easy tool to check student listening and understanding! I hope to use this in my future classroom. #educw200@educguo30
@mslenastephens Maybe you could start by introducing the basic ideas of code? Like telling them coding is how you get a machine or program to do what you want it it? Just an idea. #elemchat
@TeachBloom Ive also been struggling with this. I'm wanting younger students and I am not sure how to incorporate a difficult concept like this. #elemchat
@mslenastephens I also think it's helpful for students to contribute to the classroom expectations/rules. If they have input then you are holding them to their own expectations rather than just your own! #elemchat
@TeachBloom A1: Hi I am a pre-service teacher and have found that Scholastic has some great books for history topics along with lesson plans! There is also the WWII national museum which has good resources for old students!
@TeachBloom@HollyBui8 Yes, there is a way to upload an existing slideshow into Nearpod, I believe is it compatible with both Powerpoint as well as Google Slides. When making a new presentation, there should be an "upload files" button that will tell you what options you have!
R3: I think resources that allow students to work at their on pace are very useful. For example, putting together videos with questions on EdPuzzle or putting together some slides on Nearpod are great for more independent and personalized learning #INeLearn
@HollyBui8@lydmarteduc Is there a way to smoothly transfer a slideshow you already have into Nearpod? I love the idea of student collaboration, but struggled with using this tool #INeLearn#educW200chat
@lydmarteduc I think EdPuzzle is great for students to work independently, but Nearpod is more of a collaborative tool. There are so many activities built into Nearpod for students to work together. #INeLearn#educW200chat
R2: My favorite resource is Pinterest. I have found so many great ideas for my future classroom such as lesson plans, decorations, and more. It's cool to get great ideas from other teachers! #educw200chat
A resource I really enjoy is Pinterest. When I'm not sure where to start with my lesson plan, it's very convenient to see what other teachers are doing for inspiration. #educW200chat
R1: I think it is important to integrate technology into the classroom because it can elevate a lesson, yet it needs to be monitored as too much technology can be harmful in a classroom. #educw200chat
R1: I believe technology integration in the classroom is important because it provides multiple resources for both students and teachers. However, I don't believe it has to be part of the classroom constantly - sometimes it's better to disconnect.
