Kurt Russell spoke about Tombstone this week, saying “The movie is not as good as the screenplay….I’ll never make peace with that. It could have been way better.” I trust Russell knows what he’s talking about here…but man, I think Tombstone is pretty close to perfect as is.

That’s actually what grew on me with this album. I always loved how all their songs are so elaborate that each one is like 2-3 in 1 (except for Hail album which is super tight as you say — btw, Planets and Shepherd of Fire my faves on that 🤘🏻), and I started listening to the Stage while working out and stuff where it’s more background … then I found myself coming back to it. Plus it’s a concept album about AI 10yrs ago, way before GPT, etc which is also pretty fkn cool to me.

After this conversation, I've become considerably less worried about AI doom. It's possible that with AI help, humanity reaches a previously unimaginable level of wealth and stability (after 200 years of chaos and destruction, which is basically nothing in the grand scheme).
