@Eatnsleep4ever @RavenMentore I cannot fathom that they somehow remade the game without its third-act twist or major villain reveal. Black Flag, like Valhalla, was a masterpiece because of how it interwove narrative beats between the past and present without holding the audience's hand.

@Eatnsleep4ever @RavenMentore Desmond's son is a Sage that is alive and kicking right now. The modern-day story of Black Flag is **the** story of the game. Everything that happens with Edward feeds into it and pulls from it. The two parts of the game are inseperable.

The Reason Why Modern Day is Important In Black Flag: Bartholomew Roberts, a sage isu of the isu, Aita, Husband Of Juno - came after you in the modern day to find a vessel for Junos digital consciousness spread throughout the Abstergo network. However the best part was actually when you get the shock value of finding out Bartholomew, next incarnation of Aita, was actually the one person working with the assassins and for the Templars just like how Edward snuck his way in between both. You'd wake up - finding out Aita, aka Bartholomew Roberts, was actually John Standish and hopefully using you, the player as a vessel for Juno, but the biggest shock value is when he's right in front of you, unexpectedly, making you think WOAH, hold on, I didn't expect this at all! Only for John Standish to get shot and you the player, the animus operator being shoved back into the animus experience aswell as previewing "devils of the caribbean" as a reward for your hard work for Abstergo, aka the Templars. #assassinscreed #assassinscreedblackflag

@Eatnsleep4ever @RavenMentore She was just featured very prominently in Valhalla, where we got more details regarding how some Isu reincarnated themselves. Black Flag laid the groundwork for this concept, and it is pretty damn integral to the main story right now with Basim.

The Modern Day story in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is not only made up of Rifts! Players will also find the so called Animus Data Files in the world 🔵 These are files, not currency 🔵 Once found, they can be accessed directly from the Animus Hub 🔵 Can be video, pictures, text 🔵 Each file seems tied to its location in the Caribbean world (as in, based on the build we tested, players will not always get them in the same order) 🔵 We cannot currently discuss their content (but we found 3 of those!)
