@beckytLCFC I’ll take it - as long as we agree what is better eating?

Serious Question... If I paid you every month to eat better, work out and share your results, would you take the job? 🥙🤸🏻‍♂️💜

What I really like about this trial is that their inclusion criteria were in sync with clinical reality. Approx 25% of the participants had widespread pain. Many previous studies have effectively excluded those at ⬆️ risk of poorer outcomes by restricting the inclusion criteria.

This paper on sub-acromial pain syndrome packs a hell of a lot of punches: 🏃‍♂️PT-led exercise vs leaflets-based exercise 💉US-guided vs non-guided steroid injection #OpenAccess #HotOffThePress ow.ly/jUL150B5tVt

@OnlinePhysios I pondered this while rehabbing client yesterday - how it is that the animal kingdom does not have physios / chiro/ Osteo and they seem to recover very well most of the time...

If physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and manual therapists of all kinds didn't exist and had never existed... Would there be more back pain in the world, or less? 🤔

@Browndawg81 Sorry to hear that. It is going to take time (discuss with surgeon and rehab team) - all you can do is work hard at your rehab, be patient. Good luck with journey ahead

Just ruptured my Achilles and due surgery to repair. Was wondering if any runners have also ruptured their Achilles and how long it took them to recover, and if they ever returned to their previous level or improved. Thanks in advance for any advice #ukrunchat #runningmotivation

@Liz_Kentish @UKRunChat @AndrewHulbert For 7km you should not need any additional nutrition or hydration (weather dependent- as with some of the recent heat but of fluid sensible). Best is to test various options and find what works for you. Keep going!

Q1. I’m new to running (March this year) and now run twice a week at 7am, either 7km or 10km. What should I be eating the night before and should I eat something before my run? @AndrewHulbert @UKRunChat #ukrunchat

@Swiffin @UKRunChat As long as there are no signs of worsening neurology ( such as weakness, loss of function or control) then a gradual increase in activity is encouraged. As with all these things probably good to get some advice and guidance following assessment.

Question for the @UKRunChat fitness and health gurus out there. Few weeks back, I slipped a disc. Much more mobile now but still a little pain. Keen to do some sort of yoga or something to aid recovery and build a stronger back but should I give it a miss? Any advice? #ukrunchat

🤔Your mom has chronic disabling back pain and you have to choose between: A) A non evidence-based therapist who's very kind and warm, will do their honest best to help, who you think your mom will like B) A knowledgeable, evidence-based clinician who your mom prob won't like
