For My Valentine For watching all our crazy movies and auditing my insecurities, for going along with my cheap dining without scorn, complaining, or whining; for auditing my political rants, And giving me quick peeks down your pants. For driving to me to be together at night, through winter's worst weather; for accepting all my silly kisses, too, and stoically enduring all my "love you"s; for all the fun we’ve found to abound in bed, so sweet and raw and uninhibited, and after, entwined in post-lovemaking’s gloam for hours, even when you should go home; for you being you: So cool, so hot, so fine baby, that's why I had to make you mine.

The gold standard worked because it made every government deficit a direct assault on the nation's money supply—and markets punished politicians immediately for their fiscal recklessness. Under gold, when Congress spent beyond tax revenues, the Treasury had to borrow real money from real savers. No magical money printing. No Federal Reserve buying government bonds with newly created dollars. Politicians faced the same constraint as every household: you can only spend what someone else saved first. And foreign creditors could demand gold redemption at any time, creating an automatic brake on inflationary spending. The mechanics were beautifully simple. Britain's pound sterling maintained its gold parity for over 200 years because the Bank of England raised interest rates whenever gold flowed out of the country. Higher rates attracted foreign capital and made domestic credit scarce—forcing the government and private borrowers to compete for the same limited pool of savings. Deficit spending meant crowding out private investment, and voters saw the immediate consequences in higher borrowing costs. You can see this discipline in action during the Panic of 1893. Cleveland's administration faced massive gold outflows as investors lost confidence in America's fiscal position. Instead of printing money, Cleveland arranged private gold purchases from J.P. Morgan and European bankers—paying market rates for the privilege. The federal budget had to balance because the alternative was national bankruptcy and gold standard abandonment. Modern economists call this "barbarous" because it prevented their beloved countercyclical spending. Damn right it did. Politicians couldn't promise infinite benefits funded by invisible taxes on savers. Every war, every welfare program, every government expansion required convincing actual people to lend their actual savings.

Eric Ciaramella, Brennan's CIA operative who pretended to be a "whistleblower" and conspired with Adam "Shifty" Schiff and the fat Vindman twins to impeach President Trump over Ukraine, was heavily involved in the USD 1 billion "loan" deal to Ukraine by the Obama/Biden Administration

The reason this is very important today (and way overdue) is because the "whistleblower", CIA operative Eric Ciaramella, conspired with Adam Schiff on this fake Ukraine impeachment of President Trump. The Vindman twins were also involved. Please @DNIGabbard, release it as soon as Chairman Crawford releases it to your Office!

Brigitte Macron, while at the White House, says the First Amendment needs to be restricted and limited because too many young children are suffering. She says she can read signals from these young children. “I think that liberty does have some rules. We have to be free, but adapt to certain codes.”

Good information to know. It's what I suspected, but good to have it confirmed. I wonder if reminding them that Jesus was "rude" with the Pharisees and had the "spirit of contention" with the moneychangers in the temple might help. Hopefully it doesn't spill over into the midterms.

@WasemAdam @Jensen_Utah You have no idea. You don’t know how many Mormons I know who voted against Trump because he’s “rude” or has the “spirit of contention”. It’s embarrassing and they probably shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Do you want mass deportations? Do you want to stop Muslims from taking over America and Europe? *Then you must address Jewish Supremacy. Over 1,100 American rabbis just signed a letter organized by the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society (HIAS) demanding that the United States government stop enforcing its own immigration laws. The letter, released in advance of HIAS’s annual “Refugee Shabbat” and signed by clergy from 45 states, quotes the Christian Old Testament, invokes the memory of the Holocaust (obviously), and calls on leaders not to “wrong or oppress the stranger.” Rabbi Jill Jacobs of T’ruah declared that Jewish tradition could not be clearer about the obligation to welcome the sojourner. Rabbi Rick Jacobs of the Union for Reform Judaism called it “a core Jewish obligation rooted in Torah, imprinted on Jewish souls through the many migrations of Jewish history.” Meanwhile, in Minnesota, 26 Jewish organizations and synagogues jointly condemned ICE enforcement operations in the Twin Cities, calling the situation volatile and expressing deep concern for immigrant communities being disrupted by federal agents doing their jobs. *Read all the facts in today’s article by using the link to our website in my bio.

@TonySmi48995011 @DA_Stockman Indeed. Trump's biggest mistake in his 1st term was letting Deep State Republicans install SecDef Mealy. But Milley wasn't really allowed to openly wokify the military until Biden.

Each carrier battle group with escort ships, planes and defense against attack costs $25 billion +. Both of these two are out of commission after minor scrapes with Iranian coastal patrol boats and rebellious sailors on board. What a hideous waste. Every member of the defense appropriations committees who votes to fund these lumbering dinosaurs should be tarred, feathered and run of of town.

The US Navy sent its two most powerful warships to fight Iran. Both are now gone from the front. The USS Gerald R. Ford, the most expensive warship ever built at $13.2 billion, left the Red Sea after a fire broke out in its laundry room. That’s the official story. The real story is what a Pentagon testing report quietly revealed at the same time. The Ford’s jet launch system is unreliable. Its radar is unreliable. Its weapons elevators, the lifts that move bombs and missiles to the flight deck, are unreliable. Pentagon testers said there is simply not enough data to assess whether the ship can keep operating if it takes enemy fire. Fixes for these combat systems have been identified. Most remain unfunded. The ship also doesn’t have enough bunks. It needs at least 159 more. This is the Navy’s flagship. Delivered years late. $13.2 billion. Deployed into a war zone with systems the Pentagon itself cannot certify as combat-ready. Then there’s the USS Abraham Lincoln. Iran claimed repeatedly that its missiles forced the Lincoln to retreat. The US called it propaganda. What’s not disputed: the Lincoln moved from 350 kilometers off the Iranian coast to over 1,100 kilometers away. Both carriers are now parked far beyond the range of Iranian anti-ship missiles. The Pentagon calls it “tactical repositioning.” The Ford has been at sea for nearly 11 months, one of the longest carrier deployments in modern US history. Maintenance on nuclear carriers takes months under normal conditions. After a fire, an 11-month deployment, and a backlog of deferred repairs, analysts are now talking about 12 to 14 months out of action. America went into this war with two carriers. It now has zero operating near the fight. Gandalv / @Microinteracti1

The left is allergic to economics, and is therefore unable to comprehend that immigration, under the current Hart-Celler formula, is a gigantic net drain on public finances, to the tune of many hundreds of billions of dollars annually. Their allergy also renders them unable to comprehend the thought of national bankruptcy. You can't convince them, you just have to ignore them.

Awful: Stephen Miller is privately floating the idea of restricting funding for the public education of undocumented kids. This has long been a right-wing dream: They want to get SCOTUS to reverse Plyler v Doe and further chip away at 14th Amendment. New: newrepublic.com/article/208114…
