@jmflynn74 @PenguinOfTroy @slmandel Like it or not. NFL is the king of American sports. As CFB started to get more modern, instead of the traditional bowls? They past the NBA and MLB. Some people hate change. Too scary.

I’m still waiting for someone to show me the rivalry game that would have had less importance if the 24-team playoff was in place in 2025.

@EJXD2 @bobstrodamus @PreaknessStakes Genuinely curious, what is the percentage of time that a horse wins when his odds drop 15% or more in last click? It seems like they win almost every time. What advantage allows for that when information is more readily available and accessible than it has ever been?

Based on the final two flashes of the win pool, the @PreaknessStakes was a VERY good result for CAW, which completely abandoned actual favorite Taj Mahal and put most of its money into winner Napoleon Solo.

I can’t stress enough how terrible the coverage of today’s Preakness has been. There are 14 horses in the field and 12 preliminary races. Somehow every fucking story they cover ends in “space out the triple crown”. @NBCSports absolute clown show.

Interesting sequence leading up to the Preakness here.. think the turf sprint, Race 12, is where you blow it up if you’re playing multi-race wagers. I like the 8,10,11 there. In the Preakness, I do not know how the winner doesn’t come from the 2,5,7,9 or 12. #Preakness

@brooklyncowboy1 Are we sure? Randy Moss told us they aren’t an issue because he got 7/1 on a horse that won the other day who was 9/2 going into the gate.

Is Danny’s argument that teams shouldn’t be rewarded for going undefeated or that having teams with a bunch of losses in the playoffs makes the regular season better? Either way, weird hill to die on.

@JackDem79917927 @fatbaldguyracin No one outside of degenerates would give a shit about horse racing on the 4th of July. Even Saratoga had to resort to $1 hot dogs to try to boost attendance on that day last year.

@fatbaldguyracin Yes and screw it for the health of the sport run the Belmont on the 4th. Derby already has its tradition this would give the other 2 races what they need, a stage of their own.

People are forgetting 2021 The Suits who never get anything right in Horse Racing decided to take away Lasix .........you cant expect million dollar horses to run back in 2 weeks just for the sake of tradition with no Lasix. No horseman want to do that . Period . No horse on the undercard runs back either . Move it to Memorial weekend 4 weeks out and you would have 10 horses run back and 40 horses on the undercards run back. The fields would be gigantic all day long. NYRA would be forced to move the Belmont back to end of June which again would make it HARDER to win the Triple Crown as the fields would be Huge .

My only take on the CFP expansion, other than it is absolutely terrible, is that a lot of people who said a 12 team playoff made more games matter now all tend to agree a 24 team playoff waters down the CFP 🤔

The way this track is playing, I’m not leaving the #16 Pavlovian off of any tickets. He’s going to stay up front longer than people think and he’s shown a willingness to fight on the front end. Reminds me a bit of Dornoch going into the Belmont. #KentuckyDerby
