@Keith_Wasserman Make money in tech. Watch it all go up in flames because you failed to support public goods. Watch people laugh at you're pain because your an odious piece of shit.

@samstein Sadly, what the public wants is performative cruelty. And that's really not the sort of thing that we should be delivering...

NEW — The current argument gaining credence among Dems: The problem wasn’t that the party failed to sell the public on what it delivered, it was that it delivered them the wrong things. “We didn’t deliver what people wanted" Ron Klain tells me thebulwark.com/p/why-deliveri…

@AndrewYang Stop pretending that your latest grift was some kind of act of valor. When was the last time you drew a real pay check for actual work rather than shilling for gelato boy or taking money from the rubes?

For all the Dems distressed by Trump’s Cabinet picks - where were you when Joe Biden and the Dems canceled their own primary to prop Joe up? Dean Phillips called this all “predictable and preventable” and he was spot on.

@Timodc How well did the Great War on Terror turn out for all the war dead? Feel's like JVL has a strong case of survivor's bias. I won't bother with the obligatory Keynes quote...

On the other hand an Independent like Dan Osborn put Nebraska in play and so did Evan McMullin in Utah. A new approach to politics is vital. ⬆️🇺🇸

I’m debating whether to buy a few of these 8-ft.-wide, 49-ft.-long, 9.5-ft.-tall steel shipping containers Twitter has insisted on advertising in my feed for the past week. I might get the refrigerated one. Price isn’t listed, but how expensive could they be?

@TaylorLorenz @briantylercohen You touch on this in the piece. Systems where relatively small benefits flow to large numbers of people present very different organizational challenges than ones in which large benefits flow to small numbers of people. Not sure how to skin this particular cat.

A note to Dem politicians and campaigns: You won't persuade voters with a one-off appearance on a popular podcast the week before the election (which is not a knock on Harris' campaign; she only had a couple months so they did all they could). The reason Republicans are winning over so many young people is because the right invests hours and hours, everyday, every month, every year in audience-building among its influencer class. We can't compete by sticking our candidates on an episode one time in October of an election year. Democrats need to embrace YEAR-ROUND progressive media (either directly political or political-adjacent) if we want to compete. But you cannot only remember independent media outlets exist 2 weeks before an election-- not in a media environment where the vast majority of Americans (and practically ALL persuadable Americans) are consuming content on alternative outlets.

I was told by a friend that the Harris campaign had me on a list of people not to use because I had ‘crossed a line’ with my criticism of Joe Biden. I know I wouldn’t have made that big a difference but that’s indicative of a dysfunctional culture.

@AndrewYang Laughing at you and your obvious grifting, for the most part. Harris ran a great campaign. She wasn't able to overcome an incredibly strong world wide anti incumbent trend. Phillips is a joke. And if he hadn't paid you a whole lot of $$$, you wouldn't give a damn about him.

Where were the Dems criticizing Joe Biden today for not dropping out earlier back in January when Dean Phillips was actually running against him trying to force a primary? Nowhere to be found.

@intentionally But half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid. The question is how best to exploit this... The Republicans have found one effective strategy. We need another.

I voted for her. I think he’s a bad guy. But if you lose the senate, house, electoral college AND popular vote, and you think the lesson is half the country is racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and stupid… wrong lesson. And the same thing will likely happen in 2028.

Jesus fucking christ. What is wrong with this country? I am shoping that this is a red mirage, but tonight is feeling way too much like 2016. If Trump wins, this is going to be so much worse than 2016. What hurts most is that I was feeling good about things up until 8:00 or so
