Die Israelis ziehen sich nicht nur nicht aus dem Libanon zurück, sondern haben über Nacht noch mal eskaliert. Damit ist ein Friedensdeal zwischen Washington und Teheran abermals geplatzt. Das haben Trump, Vance und Co. mit Sicherheit geahnt – doch mit ihrer Kritik an Israel haben sie Erwartungen geweckt, die jetzt auf dem Prüfstand stehen. In Tel Aviv scheint man sich auf jeden Fall sicher zu sein: Trump blufft und wird – wie immer – nach Netanjahus Pfeife tanzen. Für die USA wird’s langsam unangenehm: nicht nur sind Börse und Ölpreis ein Faktor, auch die öffentliche Wahrnehmung fehlender Souveränität gegenüber Israel führt zu äußerst unangenehmen Fragen.
