We need to ban members of Congress, their spouses, and their dependent children from trading individual stocks while in office. They can invest in diversified mutual funds or blind trusts, but they should not be able to use their position to enrich themselves at the public's expense.

Giving anyone the ability to wager and make money if U.S. service members are rescued or not is sick and twisted. We need to ban these prediction market companies from hosting "markets" like this to begin with, and we need to ban any politician or government official from insider trading.
