@theo @acadictive Ok so it's okay for you to vent out when the $100 plan is exhausted because of pricing and compute constraints from antropic but not others. 👍

@acadictive Called out how dumb this post is and he accused me of being a paid affiliate of Microsoft lmao. If you are confused about the copilot changes, you can find the details in my replies here: x.com/theo/status/20…
Theo - t3.gg@theo

In order to hit the limit of your $40 Copilot plan, you have to do at least $60 of inference. The previous limit structure was entirely broken. You could do $40,000+ of inference for $40. You’re not hurting them by cancelling your sub.

Dear GitHub Copilot team, I am happy to announce that I successfully burned all of my monthly tokens in under 3 days thanks to your garbage new pricing model. I'd also like to inform you that I won't be renewing my subscription or adding more budget. Best, A former customer.

@theo I watched this and, for the first time, genuinely hated a Theo video. It feels like “I hate them, so you should.” Leading with the YouTube issue after they corrected and apologized for it feels like misinformation — he does say it around 18:00, but too late.

I'm scared to make this video, but I feel like I have to. It's time to talk about Google.

@theo Whoa... If this is actually a result of the FFmpeg drama, it's quite sad. Theo is one of those creators you hate and love. You don't have to agree with him. But these kinds of creators are the best—they actually make you think.

T3 Chat is currently banned in multiple countries because some malicious hater spam-reported our domain to various threat data providers. I understand that people are upset with me right now, but going after my business and team is unacceptable.

@prime_sui I haven't really thought about Mongo, in a while. Last time I used it in prod was 4 years ago 🤔, I haven't used it in a while. Prisma made RDB's a lot easier I guess.

@akramcodez Leetcode can help you pass an interview if you get one. Previously, a referral often guaranteed an interview, but now, for most people I've/people from my team referred haven't gotten the call even.

@AravSrinivas Sure... quick question when are you going to make something original that is not a fork or wrapper. You know the reason why google has such a large share

Cloudflare has workflows, Convex has workflows, now Vercel has workflows. New kinds of platforms are consolidating server-side compute and storage. This is because backend engineering is about to get squashed and abstracted away. 🧵👇

I read this twice to ensure I'm not upset about the wrong thing. Backend engineering isn't disappearing; as you scale, all these small abstractions will cause issues. I love Convex, but this thread is just marketing shit post.

@kimmonismus AI progress isn’t slowing—it’s throttled by compute. At my company, there is an incredible internal tool that is on ice 🥶 just because we don’t have the capacity. The breakthroughs are real ✨; the compute is the problem. 💻

When I discuss AI with people who are not in the tech bubble, I always hear the same thing: "But AI can't do this or that, and it hallucinates." What you have to keep making clear to everyone is that, unlike previous technologies, AI is developing exponentially and achieving new breakthroughs almost every day. All the major AI companies say that there is no AI winter and that the next breakthroughs are in the pipeline. And because 99% of people don't (want to) understand this simple truism, they also fail to grasp the enormous potential of the AI revolution. They always argue from the status quo.
