Insurance is half price when Tesla self-driving is activated, because it increases safety so much
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

NEWS: U.S. insurer Lemonade has announced that it will offer a 50% rate cut for drivers of @Tesla vehicles when FSD is steering because it had data showing it reduced accidents. “A car that sees 360 degrees, never gets drowsy, and reacts in milliseconds can’t be compared to a human. Beyond the product announcement today, we’re also announcing our commitment to the Tesla community – the safer FSD software becomes, the more our prices will drop,” said Shai Wininger, co-founder and president at Lemonade.

@DirtyTesLa Agree. Keep the minimum on the cars….common Tesla and Elon! It’s one item that kept it competitive in my opinion.

@elonmusk My type 1 diabetic daughter who is a teacher relies on this tech as well as my 81 year old mother who is on social security. Please consider lower cost tiers or some value break for fixed income individuals.

Tesla needs to make supervised FSD free for everyone. Unsupervised FSD becomes the $99/month tier, and existing FSD owners who paid $8,000+ move into that plan. @Tesla @elonmusk

8 drives in with Tesla FSD v14.2.2.3 and here are my thoughts after a few hours with it: All my drives so far have been zero disengagements + zero interventions except parking lots + changing spots for parking testing. v14.2.2.2 was incredible, and it’s hard to top how good that version was. I’m noticing a few improvements and differences with v14.2.2.3 so I’ll share them. Parking has been really awesome this build for me, as it was with v14.2.2.2 but even better now. It sets itself up for backing in really well and each parking job so far has been just one maneuver and it’s been solid. Centered and very quick. Even took it to a third party charger and it backed in perfectly there too. 8 out of 8 parking jobs so far it did an excellent job with, especially at chargers. Completely dialed in. Two of my drives tonight so far were on some pretty awesome and tight canyon roads- and wow, Mad Max was amazing! Excellent speed, great turn in and apexes and braking points. This is a road I and others go to drive spiritedly, and it behaves and corners like a driving enthusiast would. It stayed centered, confident and it’s by far better than basically all human drivers on this road. Its visibility and reaction time to pedestrians never ceases to amaze me. I was exiting a parking garage and for a split second I didn’t understand why it wasn’t proceeding through since there was no cars- and there was a pedestrian peeking out from behind the wall who didn’t yield. Parking garage behavior was excellent tonight, specifically entering and exiting. It now pulls up at the exact perfect spot to the ticket dispenser and close to it. This was great in v14.2.2.2 as well, but tonight it did even better. Even pulled down a 5 level garage perfectly. Still some navigation uncertainty in garages with routing since v14.2, and once it went the incorrect way and for the first time, it corrected itself and made a 3 point turn and went the correct way which impressed me. Would also be cool if when approaching a ticket dispenser in a parking garage if it automatically lowered the window too. Creeping has been tweaked a bit this version from my experience thus far- it’s being more thoughtful in its approach and initial exit and before it fully commits to the turn. I would love to see a reset button for your FSD usage stats. I have a pretty epic cross country FSD road trip coming up in a few weeks with my 2025 Model 3 and would love to get stats specifically for that trip and not just since v14.2. Freeway merging was fantastic tonight! Tried it in hurry, then standard the next drive. Hurry mode had great, and really strong acceleration- merged onto the 405 freeway and moved over lanes. Speed control was quick, but good and the lane selection was perfect. Standard also had good acceleration, appropriate for the selected drive profile and had good lane selection and speed control as well (+5 to 7) which I feel is suitable. Both profiles I noticed started moving over for exits 1 mile before, and entering right lane 0.4-0.5 miles before which is appropriate and what it should do. Would love to see it enter some turn lanes a bit earlier on city streets as well as always enter the first available lane after turning, but I saw this only once when there was another turn ahead. I did notice pothole avoidance sensitivity was turned up very slightly, or that was at least my experience tonight. Street parking was notably really impressive. Pulled up close to the curb and even on the first try. All parking tonight was honestly really great. I feel like since v14.2.2.1 it’s been pretty dialed. Overall, this version is great as expected- I’ll have more testing to come later but since it’s nearing 5am I’m going to head back and try to at least get an hour nap in before I start my day, although I love doing this testing so much. Thank you to the awesome folks @Tesla_AI for the hard work getting these updates out to us! More videos and thoughts to come shortly.

I wish there was some type of way for me to select a speed other than just "2 over" or "15 over" the speed limit 🤔

Tesla FSD is truly amazing and it allows my 81 year old mom so much freedom but she really needs max_speed living in the country. No way FSD can safely run these country roads at 60mph on sloth. Please give us max_speed back!! @elonmusk @aelluswamy @Tesla_AI

@elonmusk They are incredible and I tell everyone how great they are. We still need max speed back for SO many reasons even with our profiles. Please reconsider this capability due to the need for special circumstances like school zones, gravel roads, anywhere AI isn’t perfect! #maxspeed

I'll compare more later, but one thing is clear. The biggest source of mistakes is bad map data causing a plethora of problems on both ai4 and HW3 (pic is a 55mph road).

Me: Hey can you let FSD roll stop signs? Tesla: Hell na that's illegal. Me: Fair enough. Can you let me set a max speed so I can avoid driving at illegal speeds? Tesla: Hell na

@WifeDirtyTesla @DirtyTesLa Yes! This is 100% needed back. So many issues resolved by putting this back in production. Why the heck did the remove this feature? Profiles are great but holy moly so many critical needs for speed control…….please and thank you!

Reeeaaally missing that max speed control on FSD. Anyone else? Or are you happy with the speed profiles alone? I did the only thing that could possibly get it back... I DM'd @DirtyTesLa. Will keep you posted. 🤞
