Good Morning from the frozen Florida panhandle! It was 54 when I came out this mmorning! What sorcery is this for June?? Made me question wether shorts were a good choice or not! For those getting a bit of a cold front, enjoy it while you can, you know the oven is set to pre-heat and the real Summer is rapidly approaching! We get 4 day weeks for June and July, so this is my Friday.. and I am ready.. I do my physical work in 2 months than I do the other 10 months combined.. it's been 2 weeks and I am already feeling it, and I don't bounce back like I used to! Hope you all have a great day!

Why is it that whenever I advocate for either lowering or abolishing certain taxes (primarily residential property and federal + state income), dipshits (including alleged “conservatives”) immediately reply asking me, “How do weee pay for defense, duh roadz, duh schoolz, duh policeee, duh fyre fighterz, and duh librariez?” This is your lazy go-to response every time. Every time. First, doesn't the gas tax pay for the roads? Or is that a scam, too? Second, we don't need to have any taxpayer-funded libraries. They can be privatized, or alternatively, you can go buy a book off of Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or Books-A-Million. They're not that expensive, at least in most cases. Third, public schools have too much administrative staff like most other institutions, so budget cuts could be made there without degrading the quality of education. People who don't have school-aged kids shouldn't pay for them anyways. Either tax the parents while their kids are enrolled, or send them a bill. Fourth, local police and fire departments could all be funded using a state-level sales tax where revenue is evenly distributed. Even down here in Alabama, there is enough revenue in sales taxes to cover those expenses and then some. Most other states could make that work. And federally? Well, the only service that the federal government should provide is our national defense (and by that I mean fighting for our actual freedoms; not fighting wars on behalf of other countries). We can abolish most of the three-letter agencies, including the ATF, DEA, IRS, and CIA. We can abolish USAID. We don't need a Department of Agriculture, we don't need the EPA, Department of Interior, or most other departments in the Presidential cabinet. The federal government should function for minimal, albeit the most essential duties. That is, a President and his staff, Congress, a Supreme Court, Department of Defense, a minimal Department of State, the U.S. Treasury, and an Attorney General. That's about it. A national sales tax and tariffs could pay for that. It did before 1913; it can do so again. Abolish the federal income tax. Abolish all state income taxes. Abolish the capital gains tax. Abolish the inheritance tax. Abolish the estate tax. Abolish the property tax for primary residents. People deserve to have more money in their pockets to spend, save, or invest at their discretion. Period.

I love having our two sons living close enough to us to just drop on by whenever they feel like it. Unfortunately, there are downsides to this as well like wolf-whistling at my wife when I got home after work tonight because she was in our bedroom changing out of her work clothes into her comfy ones and then hollering "Hell ya baby, show me them ta-tas!" not knowing our youngest son had stopped by and was sitting on the back porch with his girlfriend and they could hear every bit of it.😬

UPDATE ON DAD: Procedure went well. The surgeon confirmed that there were new tumors and sent a sample to pathology. Removed the tumors and cauterized the sites where he scraped. We should have the pathology report in a couple of weeks. Depending on the results, the doctor will make a decision re: next steps (another round of BCG or start chemo). Dad is home and doesn’t have a catheter (which in itself is a positive!) Thank you ALL so much for your prayers. I believe God has it all in control. I love you all, even though we’ve never met. Your encouragement means a lot 😊

I could use some prayer today from my friends. Dad’s cancer is back and he’s having surgery again today to remove the new tumors. He’s pretty anxious about it. Please pray for peace for him and my mom and guidance for the surgeon. Thank you 😊
