@stephenhaney @paper I had not thought of focusing the paper window just before clicking the link in the browser. Will try that.

We do not! But it seemed like a good thing to ship for the desktop release. We do have Ubuntu users so it must be possible. We have some AppImage docs here, but I don't know if they're applicable to your situation: #paper-desktop-links-arent-opening" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">paper.design/docs/support#p… If not, let me know what you need and we'll try to make it happen :)

@paper hey folks. does anybody there use Ubuntu? Not only does AppImage + Electron not work in modern versions (without terminal foo); the auth callback does not work (and there's no place to paste the token back into the app). I cannot get past the auth button.

@aarondfrancis man, i am struggling with stitch. it seems impossible to get it to edit in place. New screens abound. It also has no concept of what is visible to the user vs what it has made in the past. Using 3.1 pro like you showed.

Worth noting: if you're using a coding agent, then clicking "run" in the hosted playground editor may overwrite the changes the agent is doing. Best just to use the preview/full-screen URL of the playground instead.

We just removed our seat limit on Laravel Cloud. All accounts now have access to unlimited seats. Bring your team (agents or humans) and start shipping.

@aarondfrancis Even as an indie hacker. I won't blanket-allow write actions, but I can build laser focussed write actions into an MCP and blanket allow that. Now I only need to focus on granting permission to out of the ordinary things.

As always, be careful who you listen to on x dot com, the everything app. Levels makes a bold proclamation about MCP being dead, Fatih comes in with a reasoned take about MCP being useful in a non-indie-hacker environment. Listen to the nuanced reasonablists like Fatih!
Fatih Arslan@fatih

They are not dead. They are a must have for any enterprise installation and companies with hundreds of employees. I also thought MCP was dead, but you're thinking like an indie hacker. Assuming you're working at a company with 50 people, people install remote MCP servers, use Oauth and then are done. Everyone is authenticated and you don't have to fiddle around with CLI's. It's also secure. For example check @cursor_ai's new Plugin MarketPlace and you got the idea why MCP's are blooming and why they solve a real issue.
