It was a great day showing heifers today at the first ever IYE. Great ran show with great quality of cattle. Our showman and our calf first trip out to a show was a success. Reserve Champion shorthorn female! And a showman with a huge smile on her face!

Get yourself “a guy.” I’ve thanked a lot of people on here in regards to my daughters’ inaugural pig show season but one guy deserves a post on his own. Scott Campbell has been nothing short of incredible. He called me up last fall knowing we wanted to show pigs and volunteered to help. He wanted to pass on what he wished he had known when they started. It became a team effort. We were all running our own race but were in it together. The Campbell’s had a lot of well deserved success this spring and summer but always treated my daughters and their pigs as if they were their own. If you get the chance to be “the guy” for someone just do it. What a world we would create if there was more Scott Campbell’s in the world!

@gavin_spoor My wife makes several different casseroles that she puts in small oven pans and freezes them. I warm them up in small electric oven that looks like a lunch box. It is awesome to have hot meals every day.

What’s everyone doing for cab meals during harvest? Looking for simple, quick, and healthy ideas.

FARMERS- what’s the best weather station you’re using? I know rain gauges and keeping it Simple are great, I’m looking for input on systems like Davis Instruments or others. Thanks for any input!
