So Ballast is the fitness tracker I built for myself. It's open source for you to do whatever you want with it! 😁 github.com/N-O-P-E/Ballast - Fully customizable - No database, just JSON (export/import your data anytime) - Runs as a PWA, has been a breeze - Been using it for 3 months and honestly it's all I need

The Claude Code team gave me early access to the new version of Claude Code Desktop and I’ve been using it for the past few days… here’s what I’ve liked most about this new version 1- Panel creation and the ability to run agents simultaneously. This makes me think we’ll definitely see these agents working in a coordinated way, communicating across sessions.

Mobile app marketing? > Multiple app screenshots > Generated character > Post consistent > Run Meta/TikTok ads I generated a fitness influencer She gets likes, comments and saves Women gets engage with this account I don't focus on marketing I m giving exercise videos (AI-generated) That builds loyalty with the audience 🎉

This is me, 100% AI generated 💯 AI costs but not as much as influencers It is my real @RevenueCat numbers Building an app Marketing with AI It was never that easy before I even tried a woman's bag with a generated female character, ✅ It is a perfect result > Find product on Amazon > Generate AI video > Earn commission 💵 But my products are my apps

I kill more projects than I ship. Every time I'm close to launching I convince myself it's not good enough yet. The code works. The problem is me.

@DeRonin_ been there with the "marketing later" lie honestly the hardest part is just starting to post consistently about what you're building, even when it feels like nobody's watching

Imagine you just launched your first product: > great product > clean landing page > zero users > zero revenue > 14 likes > 3 are bots > you tell yourself "marketing later" > later never comes "okay, but how to fix it?" > then you find LarryBrain > a skills marketplace for AI agents > you install the Larry marketing skill > it starts making TikToks for your product > slideshows, hooks, captions, posting > your product finally gets seen > first impressions turn into first users > you also write about the stack on X > 7M impressions > a tool you mentioned adds $60K in MRR most builders do the first part almost nobody masters the second part that is why great products stay invisible and why the right attention can change everything study this.

@kapilansh_twt yea for sure man, people who say such things have no idea how AI works and that keeps me thinking we are still miles ahead of most people

@bas_fijneman most people treat it like “asking nicely” it’s actually closer to writing specs

Running my SaaS, I'm realizing prompt engineering isn't going away, it's becoming as fundamental as writing good copy or explaining your product clearly. It's literally how we communicate with AI tools that run half our operations now. (or the whole operation) 😅

@alexalbert__ So Alex this is what I'm questioning idd, is it now good enough to ditch my terminal? I usually run 3 terminals with 3 projects at the same time, will this be seamless and easy to navigate through?

@ThePrimeagen Slowly changing your mind just means you're running good tests. Fast certainty is usually just confidence that never compiled.

So I built my own fitness tracker. Called it Ballast. Wasn't planning to. I was just tired of every tracker either locking my data behind a subscription or asking me to sign up with three services just to log a set of pushups. So one night after the kids were asleep I opened the editor and started building the thing I actually wanted. The setup is stupid simple: - Fully customizable workouts, no more fighting someone else's idea of "legs day" - No database, just JSON files. Your data exports and imports in one click. - Runs as a PWA, honestly the experience has been a breeze. Add to home screen, works offline, feels native. The no-database thing isn't me being lazy. It's that I wanted my data to be mine. If I ever shut the project down you just download your JSON and walk away with your full history. No export flow, no API calls, no "we're sunsetting this service" emails. Just a file. Been using it for 3 months now and I haven't opened another tracker since. That's the real test right? When your own tool is the one you actually reach for, you're probably on to something. It's fully open source. Repo link in the reply.

@felixrieseberg Is there any reason to move away from the terminal and going for the desktop app now? Can you convince me?

Today is a big day! We're launching a ~ new ~ version of Claude Code in the desktop app. It's been redesigned from the ground up for parallel work and is a lot faster. It's been my main way to use Claude Code for the last few weeks.

@AlxTurovski There are always like minded people with weird schedules, me and my co founder are also on different schedules, but the quick calls and motivating words, exchanging ideas is something that really helps!

@bas_fijneman Connections do help Bas, for sure. Spending some time in the evening here does help. I see where you're coming from with the co-founder, but currently, I can't commit to anyone as my schedule is very unpredictable.

Really falling behind on everything apart from my 9-5. And there's no light at the end of the tunnel. I sure hope when I'm at least half done there, I'll have to start from scratch on solo projects and X. Feeling burned out every evening. Where do I find the strength for solo projects?

@david_attisaas It is actually crazy how good these video's are. It is so hard to see what is real and not real anymore, which is a blessing and a curse.

So, did you define goals with your wife? what helped me, is defining what I want to achieve and in what timespan. This helps her to understand why I do it and why it COULD benefit our own family. Also I mainly do all my building when she and the kids are asleep! Hope this helps a bit!

founders, genuine question for you how do your partners react when you’re 100% focused on building? i always have little quarrels with my wife about my attention. i work 9–5 and build Screen Charm on the side. it takes almost all my time, and sometimes i forget things, which makes my wife upset. she even feels a bit jealous of the product. but at the same time, i feel like without putting in this level of effort, both building and promoting nothing will work. and if you’re not willing to sacrifice a lot, what’s the point of trying? how do you handle it?
