How I handle payments in Calinfo without writing a single line of payment code: @RevenueCat does everything: → In-app purchases (monthly / 3-month / yearly) → Subscription state management → Entitlements (free vs Pro features) → Analytics dashboard → Handles refunds, renewals, grace periods Integration time: ~4 hours. Without RevenueCat, handling IAP edge cases alone would have taken weeks. For a solo founder this is a non-negotiable tool. Current MRR: $0. State of Subscription Apps 2026 was published by @RevenueCat. Here are the key insights: - The subscription divide is getting wider: top 25% grew by 80% and bottom 25% shrank by 33% YoY - Hard paywalls convert 5x better than freemium - 55% of 3-day trials are cancelled on the first day - start with the 'aha' moment - Focus on involuntary billing failures: they make up 31% of all subscription cancellations on Google Play, and 14% on the App Store (14%) - AI hype is real: 41% more revenue per paying customer, but 30% faster churn - Apps are trending towards 3-day trials, even though a 17+ day trial converts better than a shorter one (42.5% vs 25.5%)
