@dens It depends on (a) your climate and (b) your home. Happy to run the numbers for you in terms of operating cost and emissions savings between the two options! We built heatpumpshooray.com for air-source, but can also run a ground-source through it for comparison

Friends, any opinions on air-source heat pumps vs. geothermal heat pumps (for heat/cooling via ducts/vents). I could do either, but air-source seems so much easier/quicker to install... am I being shortsighted?

Ok #energytwitter - about to replace my HVAC system - complete tear out. Austin, TX - is a heat pump going to be a viable option for me? Contractor (who I did not pick - using a GC for the overall project) didn’t offer that up.

@umang @hoverkraft Yep! It's wires. Big whole thing getting funds from various sources to the right places. At least back in 2012, that was a giant spreadsheet that got put together and then phone calls between bank and sponsor (junior associate) to confirm
