I had a high end paid Ashva Credit Card and also a corporate account with IDFC Bank. However as per the rules of the bank they do not differentiate between an individual and the company for which the individual works. Email ID, Mobile number are one and the same. All my company IDs first started to come to my personal ID. After changing all personal mails going to company ID. The service department of IDFC is helpless.
Closed my Ashva Credit Card losing around ₹ 6,000 (including points earned).
One corporate account closed. Other under progress.
I am unable to fathom the approach of the bank.

My Take: FD route is better. You can park surplus/emergency funds, earn FD interest while enjoying a free credit card, easy liquidity because it comes with a free RuPay Credit Card too.
I myself opted for the FD-based IndiGo IDFC Card, use it for GST and large UPI payments, etc.

Avoid IDFC FIRST Bank. Even if you receive the card and activate UPI/credit features, you can’t use it without opening a bank account.

Got a call from IDFC Bank agent said I was pre-qualified for a credit card. Got declined just because I couldn’t be available their 3rd p verification . No reschedule, callback, useless IVR.Unnecessary checks + poor process. Avoid. Also, no CC UPI without an IDFC account. #idfc
