our startup just started mandating that every engineer must use FORTRAN. and we just hired a bunch of kids fresh out of college who are RIPPING out features in FORTRAN, but none of them have ANY clue what their compiled machine code is actually doing, and they don't even care. and now i have to spend all day reviewing their compiled assembly slop. we're cooked.
