@cbefred Would do it for #4 alone, if i was sufficiently confident that the top 4 wasnt that great, provided that i get a significant draft hall. we have a tendency to overvalue first round picks. If i had a sure thing in 4, I wouldn’t be likely to trade it for more shots at the apple

If the Thunder called and offered 25-year old All-Star Jalen Williams (JDub) plus the Thunder’s 2 other first round picks: • #12 overall (via the Clippers)
• #17 overall (via the 76ers) for the Bulls' #4 & #15 picks... Do you make the trade? Yes or No? 🤔 #BullsNation

Bulls trade #15 for Cason Wallace. OKC trades 12, 15, 17 plus a future first for a top three pick. Could that work?

They should have grandfathered in the already traded picks or come up with another provision. The relegation zone is a fucking joke. The new rules are forced, stupid, and will need to be reviewed again in a few years.

The Bulls are among the teams that should register interest in restricted free agent Mark Williams this offseason. Chicago projects to have the most cap space with a glaring need for a starting-level rim protector this summer. The 24-year-old center would be an ideal fit.

The main justification to take Caleb Wilson at #4 over a player like Mara, Burries, Wagler, or Acuff is THE EYE TEST. That's exactly why you take him, so stop with the stats and measurements. Wilson is a great "looking" prospect. It's not rocket science.

Would you support this trade: Bulls send Giddey + #15 to DAL for expirings Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, & picks #9 + #30. Mavs get Josh next to Flagg on a good deal. Bulls move up to #9, add another late 1st, and reset if they believe Giddey is too difficult to build around.

Noa Essengue has never shot the 3 at an acceptable rate at any level of basketball. He also hurt his shoulder, which likely slowed his shooting development. In his Windy City stint, he shot just 23.8% from 3 on over 5 attempts per game. He may eventually become a very good player, but the idea that he’s going to step into the NBA this season and suddenly shoot the ball well enough to be an offensive contributor defies logic.

@Doug_Thonus @SBN_Ricky Yeah, i mean i’m not excited about any front office moves, but i’m not down on any of them either. I cant judge them till they start drafting and negotiating deals.

@bleepbopbloop @SBN_Ricky If I'm going to hire someone whose job it was to manage the cap, then even if its not his fault, I don't think I'd go looking at one of the messier cap situations of the league run by a guy with no other experience. It doesn't mean he's bad, but I'm not excited about it.

Mervis is deeply connected around the league, and should be able to help with other hires. I've also heard he's fantastic with cap management and negotiation. Great addition to the Bulls front office by Bryson Graham.
Shams Charania@ShamsCharania

The Chicago Bulls are finalizing a deal to hire Orlando Magic assistant GM Stephen Mervis as Senior Vice President of Basketball Operations under new EVP Bryson Graham, sources tell ESPN. Bulls will also hire Brooklyn Nets executive Acie Law as Vice President of Player Personnel.

@SBN_Ricky FWIW, I can emphasize with what a difficult situation Orlando was to manage for complicated nuance perhaps not worth putting in an X post, but this is his only NBA gig, I wouldn't say it is superlative work. Like if you told me we could have Boston's cap guy, I'd be drooling.
