I hate the MK1 version of Mileena; she's just a cheap, bland copy of Kitana. The previous personalities were much better, and she didn't even need to be a villain. But the real Mileena disguised herself as Kitana to take the throne despite her illness.

after the mess that was MK1, we kind of owe an apology to (base) MK11 story mode. It was actually a pretty epic story, all the characters had their moments and it didn't need to resort to nostalgia MK1 is an erasure of what always worked and a completely forgettable story
