@WallStreetMav I just bought a home for a reasonable price in an area that is pretty much guaranteed to go up in value because it's on the outskirts of the massive development occurring in this area. I can refinance it if rates drop.

The housing market has been out of whack since 2021. People with mortgages at 3% don't want to move and have to pay mortgage rates at 6% to 7% on a new home. Buyers don't want to overpay AND pay a 7% mortgage also. Who will cave first? Buyers or Sellers?

This woman is trying to order Chinese food from her local restaurant. She claims she has celiac disease and insists on gluten free items only. She even requests that the food be prepared separately from where the normal food is prepared, and that all surfaces including the woks be scrubbed with soap and water before they cook her food separately. The restaurant replies that they can make her a gluten free meal but they don’t have the time to thoroughly scrub down everything just to make one meal. You can tell she’s irritated they said no, but is her expectations to accommodate her condition realistic?

This is rip tide and drowning awareness month. (I made that up.) Drowning doesn’t look like anything, the kid plops in and sinks. Hire a lifeguard if you’re having a party. Most drownings are when a parent is present. Everyone assumes someone is keeping an eye out. No one is.

A plane collided with a fire truck at LaGuardia last night, closing the airport. News reports said that the plane was Taxiing and hit the truck due to miscommunication. The truth is, the plane just landed…. That was NOT taxi speed! DEI hires coming to roost? Never should this happen. Both pilots are dead.

🚨Chilling surveillance footage has emerged showing the moment Air Canada Flight AC8646 collided with a Port Authority fire truck on the runway at LaGuardia Airport (LGA) last night. Authorities have confirmed that both pilots were killed in the crash. Dozens of passengers, along with the two fire truck occupants, were injured and transported to nearby hospitals. The airport remains closed as the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) begins its investigation into the deadly incident. Incident Summary • Flight: Air Canada Express AC8646 (operated by Jazz Aviation) from Montreal • Casualties: Captain and First Officer died; 40+ others hurt • Cause: Preliminary information and ATC audio indicate the fire truck was responding to a separate “odor” emergency involving a United Airlines flight and had been cleared to cross the runway, leading to the collision

@GuntherEagleman @RapidReport2025 Clearly looks like the Firetrucks fault there. I don't see the blinking yellow lights though on the side of the runway you normally see, on that side anyway. Lots of other flashing. Not sure what the driver was thinking though.
